I also highly recommend a rock n play. I thought these were stupid for the price and held off. We found one on Craigslist and it was magical. It helped my kid sleep 8+ hours straight starting around 8 weeks old*, and she slept in it until she was 4-5 months old.

We got our crib & dresser from a local place - they are by Pali and are very good quality. The crib converts to a toddler bed & full bed eventually. Though, in hindsight that may not have been a wise decision since my DD did chew on the crib rail (eventually the foot board) more than I thought she would.
The dresser we got is a good height to use as a changing table too - it comes in handy not to have to step away from a squirmy baby to get a new onsie.
We have a glider & footstool in there now which has been helpful for those nights when she was sick / didn't want to fall asleep. However, if I could do it over again, I would get one that let you recline slightly & rock at the same time. Ours is just basic.

I still use my glider, all the time, and they're 3+. I need something super comfortable, that rocks. I wouldn't worry about the look for that particular item. Just sell when you're done with it.
We have one. Our next kid won't get one. The current kid's 'convertible crib' is sitting in the storage unit not being used as a bed.
Next kid is getting ikea. Poor second kid.
What made you decide not to convert?
It was bulky and took up a lot of room. Our new place doesn't have a separate place for her toys, so her room has everything in it. Mostly I won't do it again, because my tastes change and kids have a knack for ruining things (L chewed up the railings in places where rail guards wouldn't fit). I thought I'd get a lot of years of use out of it - and maybe I still will - but yeah, for now - it's in storage.
unqualified, but my 2 cents: Walmart crib poang goth get poang ottoman if you don't already have it area rug. or maybe a quarto sheepskin, if I'm remembering the size of the extra rooms right. blik, if you must do decals.

We have the Graco Lauren crib and changing table from Walmart. Inexpensive and they have been great. Changing table made sense for us since we didn't need a dresser (and we're still using it 2 years in), but I think a changing pad on a dresser is a great option, too.
I'm planning for J to go straight to a full size bed from his crib, so the convertible option didn't matter for us.
J wanted to be swinging or rocking all the damn time, so H and I both spent hours in our glider. No, it's not cute, but it's comfy and we still use it today to read books, rock before bed, etc. You might not need it, but I think it's baby dependent. In any case, you do need somewhere comfy to sit in the nursery.
FWIW, we had our rocker in our LR so I could watch tv, etc while he was tiny. We used the shit out of it when he was little and we still use it now as seating. High quality rockers and gliders also have great resale values. I would check them out in person before you make a final decision
