I remember having a mock election in kindergarten or first grade. Clinton won at my elementary school and he won the real election for his first term.
I voted for Clinton, my little boyfriend voted for Ross Perot. We argued about it on the bus. I'm sure we were debating the candidates economic plans or stance on social issues. Or who colors better or something.

I guess mine would be the Bush/Doucakis election, because I remember doing a mock election at my elementary school. I voted for Doucakis because Bush was uglier. LOL
I remember the OJ trial being the first big historical event that I was interested in. That was 8th grade. I remember my math teacher turning the TV on for us to watch the verdict live.

Mt. St. Helens eruption in May of 1980. I VIVIDLY remember the Challenger explosion because Christa McAuliffe was my neighbor and her kids were classmates of my family. My brother is buried at the same cemetery she is and we have a brick at the Christa McAuliffe school in Concord.
