View Attachment Barbie and the Rockers of course. Even listened to and could still sing songs from the hot pink tape that came with! I think it was to compete with Jem.
I loved these and the tape. I also had peaches and cream and day to night. I'm sure I had 25 Barbies.
I still have about a dozen new in box that I've "collected" including the first 7 holiday Barbies. They all seem to be worth nothing and I will be excited to give them to my dd at 6 or 7.
My sister and I never owned a single Ken doll. And at my friends house she didn't have a Ken either just some unattractive teen kid dude..... so many lesbians and barbies that would hookup with the underrage teen dude doll. Why couldn't they just buy us Kens so they could sex with a normal dude, lol....
I inherited a Donny Osmand doll from my older sister. He was my only "Ken" for a few years and then one Christmas I finally got a real Ken. Poor Donny was relegated to the role of the bad guy none of my dolls wanted to date/marry. lol
apalettepassion.wordpress.com/ WHO IS BONQUIQUI!?!?!?!??!
"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
I have three sisters so between the four of us we had most of the Barbies in this thread! The ones I remember most are the Totally Hair and the ice skating one which I had this thing for-
Ohman. I wouldn't have thought I'd remember specific ones, but I definitely had the hollywood hair and cool top skipper. And I know I had a Midge and loved her for being brunette. I also had a Misfit doll from Jem, and the audio tape that went with it.
Then one year my rich aunt bought me the pool AND the CONDO WITH ELEVATOR and I felt like I had achieved everything in life..
Yes! I got it for Christmas when I was in 3rd grade. I have no idea how my parents managed to afford it.
Was this phrase ever said at anyone's house 'If I step on another one of these damn Barbie shoes I'm going to pack up all of the Barbies and drop them off at Goodwill'?
Then I would scramble like crazy trying to find all the Barbie shoes on the floor so that didn't happen.
I wonder what hurts more on bare feet; a lego or a Barbie shoe?

MrsAggie -yes, the wetsuit disappeared in warm water. I know this because I only had one Ken and he was from that collection. He had sparkly purple legs and no other clothes aside from his wetsuit.

I don't remember what kind I had, but I do remember that my brother ran over one with his big wheels, and her boobs scraped off. She never filled out her clothes right again...
Anybody else have this thing? The whole thing was so cheaply made and basically a POS. HAHA!
I had most of the Barbies in this thread but this picture completely took me back 30 years. I had this! HOURS of enjoyment. Another of my favorites was Twirly Curls Barbie. She came with that hand twister device that always created such a disaster anytime it was used.
