I'm so glad to have a whole group of people I already "know" to go through this with! I went to the January 2016 birth month board on The Bump and was reminded of why we moved out of that neighborhood.
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!

Oh dear, no. I've been occasionally hanging out on the Nov 15 board there, but its a freaking shitshow over there now. If you want a good BMB, check out Then Comes Family on proboards. It was the second wave of people to leave there. I've found the BMB there are much more manageable. I like the girls on my Nov one there.
Had our first ultrasound today! Measuring 7w3d. Everything looked good, i was relieved there was no SCH,because i had a huge one after my last IVF. I go back in two weeks. Until then i am staying on all my meds.
Baby is looking good! Measured 8w. My ovaries are giant -- each follicle looks bigger than my uterine cavity! They were never that big during treatment. No wonder why I'm huge. He said they will go down soon.

Why are your ovaries big?
I'm probably just a pregnancy moron, but I sorta thought their job here was done. I feel like I've still been having some soreness in mine, so your update actually makes me feel a little better about that being okay.

I believe after ovulation they always fill with fluid and then HCG keeps them filled for awhile. Having lots of follicles from treatments makes it worse. I also still have some free fluid in my abdomen from OHSS. The baby is only 1.5 cm but my belly is up 14 inches since before IVF, crazy

Thanks for clarifying, boiler717! I thought it might be related to the OHSS, but it sounds like there are a few things involved. 14 inches is crazy (that's what she said). You still look cute though.
Oh I asked the RE about making my OB appt and he said wait until after my 10w scan with him. Seems to be cutting it close with the NT scan.
Update on this, I texted my OB and she said she needs to see me by week 11 so she can send over the NT scan referral to MFM, which can take a couple of weeks to get you scheduled.

How many betas did you all get done? I have my second tomorrow.
When do you typically graduate from the RE? I'll need to find a new OB/gyn or possibly midwife, but don't want to schedule too early/late. I'll ask tomorrow, just curious your experiences.
ginkgoleaf, I just had my third beta drawn this morning (the previous 2 were last Monday and Thursday). Assuming all is well, I'm pretty sure it will be my last. The first ultrasound will be scheduled for next week.
I have to find a new OB too. I don't even know where to start, so I'm not going to worry about it until they tell me I need to make an appointment. Not helpful, just commiserating on having to find a new dr

I think there was a thread further down about this once? It seems like most of us had different experiences for how long we stayed with our RE. I had 2 beta's and was with my RE thru NT scan - so 12 1/2 weeks. I saw my OB at 15 weeks. I think I was around 10 weeks when I made my OB appt. He actually wanted to do the NT Scan but I wanted it done with the RE. I wasn't ready to leave her and the office hours worked better with my schedule.

I had 3 betas and 2 u/s before graduating from the RE. She released me when we saw a heartbeat. I saw my OB at 8 weeks, and got another u/s, which is standard in her practice.
I had two betas with the RE and 3 u/s (6w, 8w, 10w). My first OB appt is during 11w -- it's a 1.5 hour appt, no scan. Then I will get a referral to MFM for the NT scan.
Just got the results back from this mornings beta: 3,400 at 5 weeks, 1 day. First ultrasound is scheduled for next Wednesday. Sounds like I'll get a 6 week ultrasound and an 8 week ultrasound before we're booted to an OB.
cactuscookie, I think it varies, but sometime in the 5th to 6th week you can see it. Someone else will probably have a more precise answer for you!
I only had 2 betas, and I went straight to an OB for my first u/s at 7 weeks. But my RE was out of state which is why I didn't stay with him for anytime after the cycle itself.
