Just got back from the RE. We saw a perfect little baby measuring right on track! I'm 6 weeks 1 day, and unfortunately it was too early to detect the heartbeat. They said they expect to see it at 6.5 weeks, so I'm guessing it's hit or miss to see it this early. I'm going back next Wednesday for another ultrasound.
Squeee!!!
Too bad about the heartbeat though. My ultrasound on Friday is at exactly 6 weeks, so I'm guessing we'll have to be lucky to see the heartbeat.
I saw mine at 6 weeks, so it's definitely possible. My fingers are crossed for you.
2nd beta is back at 560 19dpiui... first one was actually 239 so doubling time of 39 hours. My nurse told me very sternly to relax and enjoy my pregnancy because she's pretty sure I'm in this one for the long run. Then it made me cry... thanks hormones. I'm graduating straight to my OB but they're doing an early ultrasound on 6/16 at 6w4d so hoping to see a heartbeat and really calm the nerves.

More excellent news! I've been checking back for this update all day.
Hi everyone! I'm here too. I've been lurking bc I've known about my bfp since last Monday. Too nervous to even post.
We are pg via femara and IUI and my numbers seem high, am I right? The odds weren't high for multiples, so I'm just trying to mentally prepare.

Congrats! Really, you can't count on betas for the # of babies. Your 13dpo is close to my 14dpo. I only have a singleton, but one of the other girls here with twins had numbers very close to mine. Only an ultrasound will tell for sure.
whodey - I'm not even sure. RE did a mid cycle monitor for me on previous femara cycles, but not this one. Even on meds, I never had more than one... So I assumed that it would have been one.
Ok, how do you guys keep the hunger at bay? I'm hungry all the time and then I feel queasy. I try to do protein and a bunch of fruit, plus drinking lots of water. What else?? I literally wake up in the middle of the night hungry.

I had the middle of the night issue last night so I'm going to stick a few applesauce pouches in my nightstand. That's what I've been keeping in my purse along with some almonds. I've also been a fan of sharp cheddar cheese sticks.

I know it sounds crazy, but protein in the middle of the night will likely also help your nausea. A little trick that helped a lot with my #1, and I only found out about it bc I have a friend that is a doula.

Last week I had a couple days where I was starving (and nauseated) all the time; I tried to eat fruit, cheese, beef jerky, and whole grain crackers (okay, whole grain Goldfish...those are already a pregnancy staple for me). And there was one night where I ate my dinner, then a couple hours later had half a scrambled egg sandwich, and then was still hungry so I had a bowl of cereal. So far no middle of the night hunger, but the past two mornings I've felt like I was going to die if I didn't eat soon (we typically eat about 45 min after getting up) so I think I need to start having something as soon as I wake up.
This week I'm just back to plain nausea, not hunger-nausea. I'm basically eating Goldfish and graham crackers between meals to keep something in my stomach because even though I don't feel super hungry, I know it gets worse if I don't eat. Nothing sounds good, so those are my go-tos.

I'm sorry so of you are already nauseated- something that helped me last time were sour patch kids - something about the sourness, my OB suggested lemon heads or putting lemons in my water too. I know some people find some relief w those seasickness band too.
My husband makes me a PBJ before bed (I keep in a reusable ziploc so it stays fresh), I usually eat at my 3 am pee. He brings me a protein shake before I get out bed. It helps so much with the nausea and hunger! I basically eat like a hobbit 3 am snack First breakfast Second breakfast 11sies Lunch Snack Dinner Snack
For nausea, my RE didn't care LOL. My OB told me to start with B6 then add unisom. Right now I do a timed release B6 (found at GNC) morning and before bed. Unisom at night. Sometimes I need 1/2 a unisom in the am and a B6 in the afternoon.
The sea bands do help when I'm in the car, I think the motion plus not feeling 100% is what gets me then. Sound like I'm doing a lot of what you guys are. I just feel like I'm eating all the time, like in a chore way, so I don't feel gross, not a fun way. I shouldn't complain, I know.
ginkgoleaf I'm nauseous unless I'm eating. My office is stocked with yogurt, almonds, saltines, cheese sticks, fruit, and carrots. I snack allllll day long. Yesterday I was making a beeline for the fridge when a woman stopped me to talk about my pants. OMG. I was dying. I was literally leaning against a desk and sweating trying not to vomit and or/pass out while I found a way to get out of the conversation.
I'm not really nauseous (and have a generally hard stomach, and zero issues last spring) but the last couple of days I'm finding if I don't eat something every couple of hours my mouth feels weird. Like...pre-nauseous?
Thank you for saying this! I've chilled out considerably from my anxiety over the weekend/Monday, but all this talk about everyone else's nausea was making me concerned again. There was a while yesterday when I was dizzy for several hours, and then I was hungry so I got a snack and ate like 5 bites and couldn't choke down anymore. And then I felt sorta pukey. I was all excited for a classic pregnancy symptom, but also worried that it was going to be a long first trimester if it kept up. But other than that, slightly tender nipples, and abs that always feel sore, I feel almost completely normal.
No nausea here either cactuscookie – last time it didn’t hit until ~7-8wks and then once it did, it was horrible until ~14wks, so don’t worry – it will come
I don’t have any symptoms except crazy sore nipples, bloating/ burping, and constant thirst.
I'm just waiting for the nausea to kick in, which it did last time for me at 6w on the dot. It was horrible with V, to the point where I had to miss important client meetings. I tried to ask the GP for something for it this time, but was basically subtly shamed when she said 'I think, given your history you probably want to avoid any medication unless you're vomiting so much you're dehydrated'. The NHS seems to have a strict 'no meds' policy, which is funny because they also say you can have a glass of wine a week, no probs.
Lol at the seabands. Those fuckers did nothing for me except make my wrists hurt.

This...makes me angry. I mean, the situation with V was a proven case of bad luck, right? There's no fucking way it was your fault, and unisom and B6 are recommended to pregnant all the freaking time to ease nausea.
It's sort of the curse of going through this together, I think cactuscookie. Being able to compare and contrast has a downside. Hearing everyone chime in yesterday with their stories of being able to see the heartbeat at 6 weeks after we couldn't see one was ... not awesome for my anxiety.
loira, can you take the unisom/b6 combo? My sister did it over the counter her entire last pregnancy (with her midwife's blessing, but still no RX). All pregnancies are different - maybe you won't have to deal with sickness this time!

But I totally used you as an example to my husband as a ultrasound result that was not seeing that heartbeat but would still make me feel okay!
There's a post on Got Pregnant, where I'm lurking but not posting yet, about when the anxiety ends, and even all the non IFers or PGAL people were like, uh...maybe it gets a little be less when you can feel the baby all the time? Oh good, so 5 more months of this.
Girls I'm spotting and freaking out. I'm in FL for work. It took me an hour to get ahold of someone at the RE. My nurse had zero concerns and was like just go about your day and avoid anything strenuous! What the fuck. I'm on the next flight out.
Oh boiler717, hang in there. Are you cramping at all? From what I've read, bleeding on its own can be perfectly normal when not accompanied by cramping. You've seen the heartbeat multiple times. Chances are everything is perfectly fine.
