Ok Three posts in a row, this is what happens when I get stuck working all day.
Tomorrow I go to the wilderness for four days. There will be no running water or electricity but fuck it, I've planned my no makeup face. I'm packing tinted moisturizer, tinted lip balm, brow product, besame Violet powder, the Bare Minerals Bb for eyes in linen, and a blush. I have gained weight and my other friends going have all lost weight, so god damn it, I am giving myself this. I think I'm bringing Benefit Dandelion since I actually like the brush that comes in the box, and it has a mirror so I can secretly apply in my cabin room so others think I have a natural, lovely pinkish hue.
I think the LM palette is going to go back. It's so pretty and glowy... but how many highlighters does one need in their life? I tried using the shadow again, and it just didn't work well.
This damn set has been on my mind since you posted it. Just when I thought I had all the make up I'll ever need. Do you know anything about when or where it will be released?
Nordstrom anniversary sale.
I just got mine and it's super pretty but I just don't need it so it's going back.
Early thoughts on the Charlotte Tilbury airbrush powder is that it's really lovely but I want to wash my brushes and try it with a clean slate.
And this may get me kicked off the makeup board but I don't love the Becca Jaclyn Hill highlighter. I love the color but the particles seem really chunky. Maybe I'm using it wrong? (using a fan brush)
This means I'm 0 for 2 on the Becca products so far (the other was the watermelon/moonstone souffle that was mostly moonstone) which makes me sad because I've been a huge Becca fan from back when the line launched
So I exchanged my bronzer at lunch and I stopped to swatch the Metal Crush Eyeshadow from Kat Bon D. It's insane yall. One swipe and it was gorgeous. No swirl in the shadow, just a quick swipe. They only had the cranberry color "Raw Power". I have a cranberry color or I would have bought one. SO great.

I got mine yesterday and I didn't love it. It's going back. The colors weren't as beautiful in person. I don't like that the trios are a mix of matte and shimmer. Some of the shadows are half way popped out of their place.
The Lisa Eldridge palette for Lancôme is really pretty.  I like their mascara, but haven't tried eyeshadow. Any good?  Do you think she will have a positive influence on the line? It launches August 10th. View Attachment
ooooo. I've never done Lancôme but I like her. I'd be curious to hear what people thing too.

I can't wait for her holiday palette with all of these comes out. They look amazing!

I NEED this! And I will beg my eyelids to not be allergic to it. I haven't used lancome shadows before.
I finally finished setting up the makeup area of "my" room. I still need to get internal organization stuff. Eventually I want to paint the room and replace the chair but first I need to unpack my books and set up the reading area. We've lived here for 8 months!
apalettepassion.wordpress.com/ WHO IS BONQUIQUI!?!?!?!??!
"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
Welp, there goes my resolve to never buy Kat Von D makeup. #tooweaktoboycott
I didn't want to buy her stuff, but the shade and light eye palette? So in love
I had the same issue. After the naming fiasco, I planned on not purchasing any of her products. Plus I found her whole line to be a bit too gimmicky. Now I'm annoyed that I keep finding products that I like!
I recently bought a bottle of Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater, and O.M.G. I love it! I generally can't stand the smell of rose scented anything, but this is so faint and light, it's barely noticeable. And, it's the first setting spray that actually keeps my eyeliner on my lash line, and not all smeared up in my crease. At only $7 a bottle, it's a win/win in my book.

This is an example of why Beautypedia drives me bananas. The MB rose facial water is almost universally beloved in makeup circles (see for example the Makeupalley reviews) but Beautypedia gives it 1 star because it smells (delicious!) and why on earth would you spray water on your face (um, why wouldn't you?).
