Unrelated kinda - I was watching a Jaclyn Hill video and she said something about how using MORE colors helps her do even a simple look without sweating the blending so much. So the last couple of times I've done actual shadow on my eyes I've been trying that, just layering a bunch of similar tones. It totally works. Who knew.
I've never thought of it quite this way, but I learned long ago to use neutrals to blend the tougher looks. I frequently have 5+ colors on my lids when I use powders. With my cream shadows this summer, I have a couple go-to ColourPop neutrals that I use to blend out the tougher colors.
Unrelated: my forehead is a complete drama queen and takes whatever is going on to the extreme. It dries out to a painful, itchy, paper-like existence in winter, and is oily as hell in the summer. Today my Becca matte primer, which is drier than a desert, didn't do a thing for me. I feel like a teenager.
Ulta is winning me over with their points, even though I still hate their shipping. There are a few brands Sephora carries that Ulta doesn't so I'm not shunning them forever, but it's hard to turn down cold hard cash.
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. Mark Twain

I'm intrigued by this. Can you LIP the video please?
I was not at all impressed with the amount of product I got out of the Cover Fx drops. I only use 1-2 drops a day and it's already gone.
I ran to CVS last night to pick up something for time being until I can get to sephora and was surprised how much drugstore foundations have gone up in price. I just remember there being a much wider divide in price bn that and sephora/ulta. So I bailed and will try and make it to the mall later this week.

I do feel like drugstore stuff has gotten much better but also more expensive. Some drugstore products are great but others I'd rather save the $15 and put towards a Sephora purchase.
People really need to stop recommending palettes. Lol. Also, before this board, I had maybe 4 eyeliners. I now have at least 30. What have you people done to me? I am also now itching to try false lashes.
Question regarding lashes - not a question really, but any tips for using individual lashes versus a whole strip? Preferences on using a strip versus individuals?? bania

I like strip lashes because I have a big face and big eyes. I would have to stick a ton of those individuals or clumps on to get the same effect. So for me the strip is easier. If you have more delicate features and only want a subtle change, individuals are great! I don't have a lot of experience with them personally, all I know is the last time I used them, they looked silly on me because they were twisting in different directions. Lol.

Seriously, LOL'd picturing that. Sounds like a Lucille Ball episode.
The strips sound easier to use. But I don't think I need a whole strip. Sounds like a trip to Sephora is in order. TWIST MY ARM.
I used to be the fake lashes expert in my group of friends. I put everyone's on before we went out or for weddings, special occasions, etc. I preferred strips to individual. I would sometimes trim the end depending on eye size. I put eyeliner on first. I know this is weird, but I used toothpicks to spread a fine line of glue on the lashes and also to press the lashes right into the lash line. My fingers could not be as precise as I wanted them to be. Once I had the lashes where I wanted them I would hold the toothpick against the glued edge an extra 15-20 seconds. Sometimes I would have to touch up eyeliner after, but not usually. For years I always had toothpicks and eyelash glue in my purse. It hurts when you are drunk and go digging in the wrong pocket. Lol

I placed an order last night for fancy sunscreen, because if I am going to be spending four days without electricity or running water, I damn well better have nice sunscreen.
I got that Yves St. Laurent concealer promo that looks fancy.
I'm $21 away from making Rouge again for the year.

I got tempted by that promo. Also nice sunscreen is worth it. I mean. I know it probably works the same but I'm more likely to use. (Justification is my middle name)

This was my rationale. I bought my H some Jack Black sunscreen a while ago so I could justify using a Sephora code that looked good. He loves that damn sunscreen, and is very good about using it. I am now jealous that I don't have nice sunscreen. I bought a cucumber scented Coola sunscreen that sprays on. I am so excited.

I have no idea why Benefit keeps trying to sell this They're Real eyeliner. I got a sample as a promo and it's horrible. When you finally get some product out its a goopy glob that you have to maneuver around your lash line with a plastic pointed applicator. Ick.

AND THEN Smashbox took the same concept and did the exact same thing.

Really!?! I didn't know that. It's the worst eyeliner I've ever tried to use. Tried.

I needed some more foundation and jumped on that promo too. I'm way more excited about it than I am about what I actually bought.

It looks really good!! I am just hoping it does not smell like an old lady who just took a romp around the perfume counter, which is apparently a problem with that brand.

Mine just arrived at the door, and I didn't notice a strong scent when I opened the blurring stuff. I'll report back on the primer later.
DH is at the mall for something and he always asks if I need anything (love him) and so I sent him a short list for MAC and Sephora. I prefer to go myself but I have no time before Friday (holidays). Anyway, I just remembered he doesn't have my VIB card and frantically texted him to use my email/phone number for the points. It was intense.

Those of you who have the Becca souffle, did anyone get one that was more shimmer than color? I bought a watermelon/moonstone one yesterday and it's like 65% moonstone which is not what I was going for.
