Good luck with your move loira! I hope you have a good week with your H and that it all goes smoothly. It's gotta be better than my luck has been so far right I'll be thinking of you this week!
I have zero pregnancy updates. 33 weeks tomorrow, but I still feel good. Which I'm so thankful for considering everything that's going down this week.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
Well I burst into tears as soon as the doctor started talking to me. Lol.
I have an u/s booked for Oct 8th. I wanted one sooner but with the way things are that's the soonest I can get in. I'm ok with that.
My OB also booked my A/S today as well. She said "this is your take home baby so why don't we book it so that you get the date/time you want."
Also more blood work to get done.
Over all even without an earlier u/s I am happy, and some what relieved.
Aww, that's so sweet about the take home baby!
But why not until Oct 8th? I'm due 9 days before you and I had mine already (but I'm also old AKA high risk)
The only way to get one earlier is to be classified as high risk and be seen by a high risk OB. But because we have fixed the reason for my losses I am no longer seeing the high risk OB. Which means no early US.
If I start spotting or having symptoms of a loss then I am able to call the high risk OB and get an earlier US.
I need to post again when I have a computer so I can tag everyone!! Nothing exciting this week, 10 days until we have the u/s to look at baby's heart and hopefully find out what we are having!!!!! DD had a fetal issue discovered around 16 weeks so we are checking now and again at a/s to see if this baby has anything. She ended up growing out of it and is fine now but just requires extra monitoring during pregnancy.
It's a fancier ultrasound on a better machine and mine was also at a hospital instead of OB office. I believe the person doing it has additional training too. Often it's looking at a specific area, like with DS they were concerned about one of his kidneys that's not in the right place. They checked blood flow and stuff on it during a level 2 ultrasound and then again after he was born. For the record, it's totally fine, just in the wrong place.
awick14, in BC are scans done by the OB, or are they done by a tech? I'll have had the really important ones by the time I get there, but I'd prefer if any subsequent scan was carried out by a diagnostic OB. Here in London, I've had all my scans performed by doctors, even when I was initially 'normal' risk with V. But a friend of mine who lives in Newcastle said her NT was done by the midwife, which I find odd, so I guess it fluctuates even within the UK.
Did @natariru post about her u/s? That was today right? FX it went well and they could find the bleeding source!
It was this morning! One baby in the right place beta was over 3,000 today. They told me the bleeding is normal. It tapered off this weekend so hopefully that's the end of it. Thank you for thinking of me

Omg, I totally forgot about this. Woooo!!!! I'm relieved all over again.

Not much new here except for my terrifying dreams lately. In one night I had three separate dreams that left me in a sweat/crying I can't remember the first one but in the second, I went to my a/s and had lost the baby and in my 3rd I was running from the royal police with a friend who was (apparently) royalty (IRL she's just a royal mess) because they wanted to steal the book ideas out of my head.
WHAT HAVE I BEEN WATCHING ON TV?!?!
Like, who has dreams like this?!
In other news, just waiting around for my a/s on the 29th!
I'm just sitting here obsessing over beta numbers as always, lol.
9/5. 75 9/8. 274 9/10. 608 9/12. 1220 9/14. Still waiting. 9/16 they'll do another beta plus 1st ultrasound. Eek.
So today's number was 2170. I wish it was higher but the dr says it's good. Wednesday they'll do just blood and then the following Wednesday I'll have an ultrasound too.

Gotcha. That sucks But Oct 8th will be here soon enough!

That is a LOT of betas, but it's nice to see that they're doing what they're supposed to be doing!
ahh ok ginkgoleaf. My anatomy scan was at the MFM's and did blood flow etc. Actually I think everyone at my OB practice goes there for NT & anatomy. Interesting. Who knew organs could be misplaced?
I think everyone in our area goes to that same MFM for NT and anatomy. I spent a heckuva lotta time there last pregnancy and will (hopefully!!!) be there in ~5 weeks
jessnpaul I am under the impression they are the sole MFM practice for V.H. Maybe they require all affiliated OBs to use them for NT/Anatomy via their hospital privileges somehow? I tend to think it makes financial sense for everyone - less equipment for OBs to buy/maintain, more patients for everyone to see in a day (this is my lay person guess, hah).
I think so too. But what do I know ;-)
All I know is that they missed all my son's issues (at least one of them should have been pretty clear) so if I get to that point, they're going to be spending way more time on me because I'm going to make them crazy! I'm usually a very laid-back patient, but I don't want any surprises after delivery like I got with DS! Everything worked out okay after a few surgeries, but it was a bit of a shocker at first.
loira- most scans are done by techs. Most doctors don't have machines in there offices.
Hm, I suppose that makes sense since doctors don't work out of the hospital. I guess I'll have to see what things are like when I get there and kick up a fuss if I need to.

That's what I would do.
All my scans that were done around my losses had doctors involved in them. For the most part if everything looks good the tech maybe the only person you see.
awick14 I'm so glad your appointment went well! How far along will you be on Oct 8?
ivy good luck on the a/s!! The visual confirmation is always nice! I hope your bathrooms don't take any longer than they already are, how frustrating!
loira I can't believe you're moving back so soon! Lots of emotions for you this week though, T&P for an uneventful a/s and that you can find a nice commemorative for V.
ginkgoleaf good luck at your a/s too! So many big appointments this week!
jessnpaul you and Mushe and I all have u/s appts on the 24th! I hope that means it's a great day! Glad your babe looked good!
swiftlyirun the dreams are so weird! I used to have (and am starting again) dreams that I would leave DD somewhere and forget I had a baby. Now I dream about leaving this one behind somewhere. Legitimate fears!

OMG, I had crazy dreams too, when I was pregnant with DS. Ugh!

swiftlyirun, I've been meaning to ask you - are you still running? Is it very swiftly? I am really hoping to keep it up; I wasn't a runner last time, so this is all new to me.

So much good news in here today!!!! Not much going on for me. A/S is a week from tomorrow. I'm so excited to see baby again! We decided to announce on fb and ig last week and have gotten such sweet comments and I got a message from a HS friend that told me she's been going through IF and that she was so inspired by our story (we basically went public with our IF when we announced) and I was so happy to read that. We're pretty sure that DH managed to catch a baby kick the other night and his reaction was amazing. He's so excited to be a dad!
swiftlyirun, I've been meaning to ask you - are you still running? Is it very swiftly? I am really hoping to keep it up; I wasn't a runner last time, so this is all new to me.
I'm still running, but not swiftly AT ALL. Haha. I had to start taking walk breaks pretty much immediately, and it got better in the second tri, but I still can't make it through 3 miles without walking. But I don't think that's necessarily normal. And I was running like you before I got pregnant; I think I was doing one 6-mile run per week and two 4-mile runs before I had to take a break for stims. That's pretty good for me, but I know you do a lot more.
I'm also still weightlifting, biking, and walking, just not as much or intensely as before.
ETA: Was NOT running like you, stupid typo that changes the whole meaning of the sentence.

That's great you're staying so active! I'm a dirty lurker on GotP, and you and your bump look great! I managed to gain 35+ lbs last time even with being terribly sick, because I wasn't active at all. (I'm super short, so less would have been better.)
I'm signed up for a Ragnar race in late October, and NOBODY has volunteered to do the second longest runner position, so it looks like I'm it. I'd better change my 10k pace on the website so that we have an earlier start time!

Not much going on this week pregnancy related. I finally see the OB on Friday. It will have been 3 weeks since seeing the baby and hearing the heartbeat.
We are having a lot of fun at work celebrating International Housekeeping Week. Each day is a different decade. I have some meetings tomorrow so I'm not dressing up like the 70's but on Wednesday I will dressing up like the 80's.
