Anatomy scan went well! I think the images still need to be reviewed by a radiologist, but everyone was happy with what they saw. And (as expected!), the Harmony test was right. We've got a baby girl on the way lots of happy and thankful tears.
ssg73 will you be watching the u/s with eagle eyes to see if the tech slips and you can guess the sex?? I would totally do something like that! The farm sounds like something my DD would love too! Did they have animals and stuff like that?
lms I hope your appointment goes well! WIll they do an u/s or just doppler?
Nothing exciting here. 15 weeks along and it's feeling more real by the day. I am excited (and nervous) for next month when we get to see our baby girl again. Good luck to everyone with scans this week!
bcarp30 i'm going to assume it's just a doppler. It's going to be an interesting appointment. It's my first with a MTF and apparently they don't do NT scans either just the quad screening. I won't see the baby the again until the 18-20 week AS.

Of course! I am going to scanning like crazy!! My wife may have to blindfold me.
The farm was more of an orchard a few animals but the big feature is a corn maze. They also had an awesome bounce pillow, swings that took you out over a pond, pedal carts, a huge slide tree fort thing, a huge pile of corn to play in, Apple sling shots. It was loads of fun. Pretty much a typical perfect New England fall day. .
swiftlyirun, I've been meaning to ask you - are you still running? Is it very swiftly? I am really hoping to keep it up; I wasn't a runner last time, so this is all new to me.
I had grand plans of running through my pregnancy, being one of those mom's that's all "I ran 6 miles the day I gave birth". Well, that's not going to happen I ran through about 10 weeks and ended up with SPD (symphisis pubic dysfunction) and truth is the "running" from weeks 1-10 was pretty minimal at that, so after 2 weeks of pelvic rest and not a lot of running before that, I was really out of shape. I can still run 3 miles or so, but it's painfully slow!
Hope you can keep it up- I'll like vicariously through you!
I also gave up exercise. I was so sick until about 13 weeks, then I was supposed to take it easy following my CVS. After that, I was terribly out of shape, and also could not be bothered. I walk a lot now, though. It's low impact, and allows me to feel entitled to scarf a daily pastry.
I had my last personal training session yesterday and I have a Groupon for a spin/barre place that I bought days before I found out I was pregnant. I plan on starting that next week. It's a 2 month membership, but I figure I can at least do the barre classes if not the spin as well. I've done barre a lot... but only spin once.
I've been eating all the carbs, so I really need to balance that out with a bit of exercise! We'll see how long this lasts ;-)
I also gave up running ... glad I'm in good company! I stopped during IVF, and with OHSS I wasn't able to do anything too strenuous. By the time I was comfortable running again, I had lost too much fitness (not to mention motivation). I'm now dealing with lower back, hip, and tailbone pain that makes it difficult to walk sometimes. Oh how far I've fallen!
After out a/s yesterday, we went to Buy Buy Baby to completely overwhelm ourselves, and spent a good bit of time testing out jogging strollers. I hope baby makes a good running buddy once she's big enough!

I love BuyBuyBaby! I can't wait to go in there again and not be bitter this time ;-)
My mom's friend gave me a free jogging stroller after DS was born but I never used it. I hate running. I should really donate it!
I was doing so well working out and then dropped to 3 days a week, then 1 day a week, then didn't workout basically from 13-15 and started again Saturday at 14w6d. I worked out Saturday, Sunday, and yesterday. Hoping to go today, tomorrow, and Friday of this week. I gained 55 lbs with my DD so really hoping to not gain that much this time!
ivy did you pick one? We have the BOB revolution SE and I LOVE it. I'm not a huge runner but this is so easy to run with. It's great for walks in the neighborhood and trails too, which we do a lot of. I would love the BOB flex though, that adjustable handlebar would be so nice. I'm 5'2" so the handlebar is slightly uncomfortable for me.
jessnpaul, I have an online subscription (maybe $15/mo?) for Barre 3. They have a lot of prenatal classes that I like! You might be interested in them if you get too big/uncomfortable for the traditional classes.

We're definitely going with a BOB! I'm pretty sure we looked at the Flex and the Revolution, but we didn't settle on one. I thought I'd be more into the adjustable handlebar, but my H and I are very close in height, so it probably won't be a huge deal? I'm sure he'll research it to death since he'll be the main BOB driver Are you going to look into a double?

You will love it! Hiw tall are you? I think if you're over 5'5" the handlebar is at a great height. No double, our main stroller is the UB vista and it converts to a double so we will use that one. I also think I won't need the BOB for both of them for a while. I will either wear the baby and push DD or take the baby out while DD is in school. The double BOB just looks SO big and insanely heavy!
bcarp30, I'm 5'10, so maybe it will work! I was thinking about the UB Vista as our main, non-jogging stroller. But we plan on wearing her a lot and will have a BOB, so we're reconsidering if we need an additional stroller at this point. Maybe we should hold off until she's older. What do you think?
Do they make quad BOBs, @cookiemonster03? Glad to hear you like yours!
ivy are you guys planning on having more kids? If so I would highly recommend the vista. I love that stroller. The basket is huge and I've been able to shop Costco with all the space, as well as regular grocery stores. It has a flat recline if DD falls asleep and a huge sunshade to keep her cool. I love that the seat faces in or out and DD it's more upright than in others. I did baby wear DD a lot but honestly it was much easier to pop her car seat out and stick it in the stroller and not worry about a shopping cart or anything.
If you're thinking she will be your only I would look at the UB Cruz which is a smaller profile but still huge basket and the same seat features as the vista.
I also love the vista because UB is an awesome company and have great warranties and replacements. I've been looking for the second seat for the stroller because I have the older model and the CS has been letting me know shipment info and stores to find it.

$15/month sounds about right for my budget right now! Is Barre 3 any different than any other Barre class?
I'm kinda annoyed I bought the Groupon, but I hear great things about this place and I'm sure I'm not their first pregnant client!

In my experience, Barre 3 is the same as other Barre classes (isometric holds, small, concentrated movements, mix of yoga/pilates/ballet).
Our A/S went well! Baby girl looks totally normal. I have a slight low lying placenta, which the doctor thinks will probably move up, but recommended me for another scan at 32 weeks. We're very happy and very relieved.

Oh noooo, I'm so sorry about the SPD! I've heard that's really rough. There's an awesome women's-centric PT in one of my running groups, and she is huge on reminding people to trust their body, and back off when it says to. Hopefully by taking care of yourself now, you'll be able to bounce back to it when baby's born. I had the best time on ML, walking a ton each day.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
I've basically given up running. I've done 20 half/full marathons since 2007 (only one in the last 12 months, plus a relay where I did like 14 miles) and am not fast. Long and short, I ran like twice between being allowed at 7 weeks and getting an SCH at 9 and totally gave it up. I have the rest of my life to run, lol. And to be honest I really am enjoying not exercising guilt free!!

We have a Bob. I freaking LOVE that thing. I ran with the kids quite a bit until 3.5 or so. They're kind of heavy now, plus I've been pregnant since it got warm out. But even at 4 we use it to walk to the park a few times a month.
It's a double obv but fits through pretty much all doors (I do pick up at daycare with it quite a bit - it's only 1-2" wider than our double Maclaren umbrella I think. Longer though for sure, but easier to push/steer). NOT a stroller I would keep in the car though! I always laugh a little when I see the Baby Bobs (as we call them) at the mall or whatever. Singles are so small
This is cracking me up! Awww, look at those cute little single bobs! lol.

Woohoo, loira! Great news. I hope your placenta moves up, though.
Sorry, I just posted roughly 8,000 responses. I'm not sure how to do multiple quotes in one response without it being too much work.
I've reached the 'I feel hungover' phase of early pregnancy. Yay! It feels like a dehydration headache, but that's physically impossible with the amount of water I chug each day, so blah. I'll take it, though!

I had a low lying placenta as well at my a/s. But my week 25 u/s it had moved enough it was no longer a concern. Hopefully the same will go for you! Glad everything else looked well though!
Mushe, headaches are one of my big pregnancy symptoms too. I get one most mornings, although they usually don't last long. My understanding is that a lot of the first tri misery comes from the expansion of your veins and arteries in preparation for the increased blood flow of pregnancy - except you don't have the increased blood flow yet. So it's just low blood pressure. This makes sense for me for the fatigue and headaches, but apparently it's also possibly the reason for the nausea, because your body feels emptier or something.
