If Rory is King George I don't think it is the official filming, LMM said that Groff would be coming back for the performances they film.
that makes me kind of sad. rory was great, and he got LOj to break which I LOVE to see.
I wonder if they'd mix them - like Rory on one song, Groff on the others? It seems mean to leave Rory out and I almost can't see Lin doing that. Plus I've heard other people say Rory is great too. Wishful thinking maybe though.

I think it's supposed to be the "original" cast though (or original Bway cast? Didn't they have a few KGs?). Or at least I think that's what I read in Lin's tweet or an article or wherever I first read about it.

True. Groff is King George the First The Third but he was the first on Bway, so that would make sense. Sorry, Rory, I tried lol
For those who have been to the show...what time do you suggest getting to the theater? I believe show is at 8 and i will want to buy shit. Also are playbills handed out freely or it is just one per person...i would like to grab a few. I am debating stage door mainly it depends on who is left in the cast.
Sent from my SM-G900P using proboards
They don't open theatre doors until half hour before the show, but there is a long line to get in. We got there about an hour before showtime and were about 50 people back in line I think? (It moved pretty quickly, though.)
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
The original cast members of Hamilton continue to go their separate ways. Jon Rua, the ensemble member who has been understudying the title role since the show’s first preview, announced that he will play his final performance in the Broadway production June 29.
Rua was the official understudy for Alexander Hamilton and also played Charles Lee and appeared in the ensemble. Broadway audiences saw him go on in the title role several times during his run. Lin-Manuel Miranda, the show’s star and creator, shares the title role with Hamilton alternate Javier Muñoz, who has been announced to take over July 11 following Miranda's July 9 final bow. Rua stepped in when Miranda and Muñoz were out. Rua tweeted the news of his exit June 26:
Rua's other Broadway credits include Hands on a Hardbody and In the Heights. He did not announce his next project. His replacement has not been named.
This surprises me! I figured he'd bump up as the alternate with Javier moving into the main AHam role.

Charles Lee will be left behind without a pot to piss in!
If anyone is into podcasts and is curious, LMM was a guest on the podcast Still Buffering, which is three sisters who talk about being a teenager now (the youngest is 15) versus being a teen in the 90s (the oldest is 35 I think). They all grew up in musical theater and Lin talked about his experiences growing up in theater and his favorite roles. It was a lot of fun for a drama club nerd like me!

Another podcast rec, The History Chick's latest episode is on the Schuyler Sisters.
Ohhhh, Chicago is a good thought. I know Lin said none of the main cast is going but I don't think that would include the ensemble/back ups. I guess we'll see, we just have to wait for it....
I love them together! Groff marveling at the text feed (whatever you call it) was adorable and LMM was like, "it's basically just thousands of people yelling at you."
I started following Okieriete Onaodowan (Hercules Mulligan) on SnapChat--I highly recommend it! He snapped a bunch of clips from last night's show with Groff.
I love LMM on Periscope. He's like "WTF THIS IS INSANITY"
Have you guys listened to LOJ's new solo album yet? I checked it out yesterday, and I've been listening to it off and on today. It all sounds like lullabies to me. I feel like it doesn't showcase his voice.
(Sorry if it's already been discussed, I can't always keep up.)

LOL a random Ham4Ham i hadn't seen just showed up (after watching Three Georges for about the 1700th time) and LMM's shirt says: Javert has 24,601 Problems and Jean Valjean is ALL OF THEM. I need that shirt.
