I think this is becoming more common at theaters. The Pantages in Hollywood started doing security checks at the curb in December 2015.

Ugh. Are they going to pat down my knee length puffy coat? I wonder if they'll be opening doors earlier in the winter to allow time for coat check (assuming there is one). I don't mind winter, but the worst is definitely trying to figure out what to do with your coat!

If Rory is King George I don't think it is the official filming, LMM said that Groff would be coming back for the performances they film.

That would explain why Lin is doing the show today since he doesn't usually do Sundays but like pp said supposedly Groff is doing them when they film....unless it's going to be a surprise Groff appearance. Which might make sense if they don't want it to be super obvious that they're filming.

If they're filming multiple performances to smush it into one best full show they wouldn't need Groff for every filming. He's only in what, three scenes?

Ok there were signs everywhere about filming, so I am pretty sure they were filming for something. I also saw Lin's announcement re: Groff, so I don't know what's up with that. Rory was great though and I just feel so lucky to have seen Lin! (As well as the rest of the cast minus Groff.) Everyone / everything was so spectacular, omg.
