I am very very active on our local board and we lost a fabulous lady on Monday to cancer. We are a bit broken over there right now and we cut our NYC trip short to go to her service on Sunday. Skipping Friday was not an option (she would haunt our house I am sure) so this is some very much welcomed news as the whole trip is just clouded and feels so inconsequtial, but this is great.

I thought his vocal performance was pretty similar to LMM's, though I think he's better looking.

I'm a lurker. And a Hamilton fan and I freaked out about Daveed and ordered tickets for Friday. We now have tickets and flights for Friday's show and I haven't even booked a place for us to stay.

My spouse had a 30 minute warning that all of this was happening and I regret nothing.

They're actually really cheap right now (well they were earlier)! I think scalpers are trying to unload tickets since the show is so close so I got two for $1k. Our hard limit has always been $1,500 for both so I definitely skirted by under that.

I wonder if part of it was to not announce early enough to allow scalpers to have time to jack up prices? Or Daveed just does what he wants.

Also you will not regret it. DD alone was seriously worth the trip.

That's good to hear. I've had my heart set on seeing DD and Chris Jackson.

I'm sad I'll be missing LOJ and LMM but I'm kind of excited to see the replacements too.

Ha ha! I totally get it! I got a bonus at work (1500 bucks) and I told DH it was going for Hamiltoon tickets. Unfortunately we don't live quite close enough to go this weekend!!!!

Enjoy every minute of Daveed!!!
