I was in rear mezz and didn't miss a thing; the Broadway theatres are all really small so there really isn't a bad view anywhere.

We are in rear mezz for Friday....we skirted in at just under $1500 when we bought in May so well done.
We can live gbcn and find each other.

DH was not particularly enthused about going given the logistics, particularly with the kids, but he was like, "Well, hey!  If your sister can pay for her own travel and meet you there, how about your birthday present be two tickets to Hamilton and a hotel room in NYC?"

My sister has to go into work tomorrow to see if she can skip half of Friday and Saturday (her weekends are Sun/Mon) and if she can we'll check the resale sites to see if we can snag anything for a relatively decent price.  Half of me is like YESSSS DAVEED LET'S DO THIS!! and the other half of me, now that this is a concrete possibility, is appalled at the amount of money I am thinking of spending between tickets + train + hotel room.  AHHHH.

I hope I have a chance to see multiple actors in the different roles. I'm really pumped for a chance to see Daveed because I love how LMM created a lot of these roles around certain people, but it will also be cool to compare as we go through different casts. I'm sure we have many great actors to come.

I am excited to see how the new actors make the roles their own! Especially since by December, we may have a whole new cast!

My only hesitation about Daveed and Renee is LMM was quoted about both of them saying "well I couldn't do these raps, but I knew we had Daveed/Renee so I wrote this". And it's not like there's rappers auditioning every day for Broadway. But I do trust that there is a large talent pool who wants these roles right now.

Listen, it will be a sacrifice to give up the practice of law, which I have practicality perfected, but if they need someone to take over Renee's role I'll do it. I've been rehearsing nonstop for months now. While OG types will never be satisfied with my portrayal, I trust that in time my work will be enough.
