I am caring for a 3 week old kitten until I can find it a home. The first few days it cried all the time. Now that I know that it is a boy, I am thinking about naming it Hamilton because it can never be satisfied.
I went to a Mormon wedding once and the father of the Bride was not mormon but the bride, MOTB and Groom/IL's were. The father of the Bride WAS NOT allowed at the ceremony!!! Can you believe??
They did a "Christian" traditional ceremony after the actual mormon ceremony (which none of us were allowed to see either) and that is where the FOTB was able to walk her down the isle, etc.
So strange...
I agree on Chris Jackson. One Last Time live gave me goosebumps. He is simply amazing.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
It was PHENOMENAL. I am as near to satisfied as one can be. 😉 Javilton is awesome. I loved, loved, loved him. I liked New Eliza. Not as good as Pippa but still pretty good. They messed up her mic for the first few songs but it got fixed by Act II. The weaker links are New Burr and New Lafayette/Jefferson. They may just need time to settle into their roles. It's very clear how much LMM wrote some songs to fit LOJ and DD. I wish we had Oak for Hercules but his understudy wasn't bad.
Renee is fucking amazing. She 1000% deserved the Tony. But you know who really blew me away? Chris Jackson is revelatory as Washington. I was never a huge Washington fan on the soundtrack but he brought complexity and emotion to the stage. He threw down everything he had for One Last Time. I am a CJ fan for life.
The people currently playing burr and Lafayette/Jefferson are understudies right? The new Burr hasn't started and they haven't recast for DD? Or am I mistaken?

who played the roles when you saw?
i can't type on this damn iPad.
Sydney James Harcourt was Burr.
Andrew Chappelle was Lafayette/Jefferson.
Both are understudies. So you're right, it's not New Burr or New Laffayette/Jefferson. I don't think they have announced DD's replacement.
I follow Andrew on snapchat. i always wondered how he would fit in the role. He just didn't seem like a strong fit, but I haven't really seen him rap. I wonder when the hell they'll recast that part.

Thanks for the update :-) Yay Javilton! I'm so excited to see him!! Awesome about CJ too! Bummed that I'll miss Renee since she's leaving in October :-(
I'm surprised the new permanent Burr hasn't started yet - the articles say mid-August. This is mid, right? :-P Anyway, bummer that the understudies weren't quite as good. Guess you'll have to go see it again :-)
Guys! Go quick! Lots of live performance videos on this You Tube channel. This one is the cast recording over the live performance with Spanish subtitles, the others are not.
HOWEVER - Lin's face when Pippa takes his hand, and they company sings "Forgiveness...can you imagine?" absolutely DESTROYED me.
Did they change the lottery? It used to close 4 hours before showtime and now it's 3? ^###**^#}#^^!!! Not that I'm going to win it anyway, but I'm 2.5 hours from NY, at best. Even if I DO win it while I'm here (on vacation) I'd probably get there too late. Grrrr.
I haven't looked lately but it used to depend on the show time. Lottery ends at 4 so you had 3 hours for nights when the performance was at 7pm and 4 for nights when the show is at 8pm (Wednesday and Friday I think).

Guys, run, don't walk to download the podcast The Room Where It's Happening. They do nothing but talk about Hamilton and how the guests feel about it and how it affected them and their favorite songs. First guest: Mythbusters' Adam Savage. I am living for this.

Nothing destroyed me like It's Quiet Uptown. Tears streaming, snot down my face, shuddering breaths, the whole works. You could hear sniffles everywhere.
Eliza's seething anger, Hamilton's guilt and desperation, the moment of forgiveness - it's so palpable in the theater. Lin's face when Pippa takes his hand and, equally, Pippa's face when she puts her head on his shoulder - so raw, so beautiful. GAAAAAAHHHH I'm holding back tears at my desk now!
The group sniffles in the audience, even in our highest up there seats, were audible too. When eliza stuck out her hand on Forgiveness i was all damn....and can we talk about Renee's performance during that. She is just so amazing.

ADAM!?!?
OMGOMGOMG
Yes! And next week is supposed to be Kristen Chenowith. And at the end, they all sing their favorite songs from the musical. It was great.

She really is. I mean, she stole my heart with Schuyler Sisters and Satisfied but then she ran away with it here. The lightness and heartbreak in her voice is just... devastating. She earned that Tony 100000x over.
Her stage presence in Satisfied really got the point across how torn she was over this than i ever caught on in my 1 million times listening to it.
As well as "i'm not here for you" in Reynolds Pamphlet.
Oh man, that clip of Quiet Uptown. Dead. I also watched Helpless. I've tried to avoid any bootleg clips, but there are some songs I've had trouble visualizing and those helped.

I am shocked these are still up.

So am I, honestly. There are a number of them.
I will not watch a clip of the duel, even though I'm curious to how it is done on stage. I want to see it...in the room where it happens. Same with Satisfied. Helpless is one of my favorites to sing in the car, so that's the other one I watched.

Me too.
I haven't seen it yet (boo), but just from the soundtrack, Renee is amazing. You can feel the anger in her voice when she says, "God I hope you're satisfied!"
And how do they do that scene, night after night after night? Ugh.
