Also, I think people would be prettttty pissed if we randomly started new Hamilton threads every time we had something to say. It seems... not annoying at all to keep it in one self-contained thread that people then don't have to click on if they're not interested.
No one is going to delete the thread. It's 100% a joke.

Oh I know that, I just don't know why it would annoy anyone.
Where was the million page makeup thread that someone "accidentally" deleted? How did that even happen?

Was that flex? I'd reported a spammer and she deleted the whole thread.
This would not shock me. I've never attempted to delete a thread, but I feel like you'd notice you were about to do that? Doesn't it make you type something before it'll be deleted, it's not just the click of a button? RIP Makeup Thread.

You go to a drop down menu, select delete, and then a confirm button, then the thread is gone.
Her problem was she didn't look at the whole thread, nor read the note that I kept that post so the spammer could be banned. That was what she said, anyway.
I mean, I am excited, but on the other hand, Terry Gross is SO cringeworthy, especially when she is interviewing anyone and discussing pop culture, that I am already a little bit embarrassed.

It was incredible, and my expectations were HIGH. I had essentially none of the original cast and they were all great, especially Javier and all three of the principal women. The Eliza character is so much more intriguing and three dimensional in person than just to listen to.
I was nervous about Mandy Gonzalez because 1. I am obsessed with Angelica and quite married to the cast recording, and 2. I saw and LOVED her in In the Heights and was worried I wouldn't be able to "see" her in such a different role. No worries on that front, she knocked it out of the park.
The only original cast member I really missed was Daveed. Seth Stewart is talented, charming, and funny and very good in the roles. But they are so very specific to the particular talents of Daveed Diggs that I felt myself mentally comparing a few times, especially during the Jefferson portions. That was a minor tiny mental blip, though.
As my husband said, seeing it you're reminded how it became such a cultural to do. Of course there's a ton of hype, but here it's based on something.
The pop up shop was great. While my husband waited in the line to get into the show, I went and bought a family's worth of t shirts and met him up so I didn't have to be in the insane crush of people trying to buy stuff in the theater.
Okay, I need to listen to this. On another note, I was obsessed with Les Miz when I was in high school, so I finally uploaded my discs this week so I could take a listen for the first time in forever. Well, I think Hamilton has broken me because I was....not impressed. Its really boring compared to Hamilton now.
Weird you mention that because I listened to Les Miz last week and I was still singing my little heart out (in my office - I was alone at work lol). But that was in my PHL (pre-Hamilton life).
wambam, I am eating crow right now. I just got on a les Miz kick for the first time in maybe 15 years and am obsessed again. Lol
I saw this yesterday in Chicago. I'm still on a high from it.
I am going see Hamilton Chi in just about 2 weeks! Any tips or info I should know?
Don't drink a lot before the show as bathroom lines were extremely long at intermission. But the theater is awesome! Have your money already ready to buy merch on the way out. And the Revolutionary Pyes (2 tiny pies, one cherry and one apple) are adorable and worth the $6.
