Thanks, I just checked that post on Facebook. I texted DH that we need to go back & see Javier when he's not "subpar." If he's that good sick, I really need to see him healthy!

We also saw Rory in his one-man show on Monday night and he was just awesome...I really want him to be my bff!

WTF was the point of the Jordan Fisher casting if he's only playing the part for like 4 months?

Also no news on Lafayette. Seth is only supposed to play the role through the end of the year.

I thought that was odd about Jordan Fisher too! I'm sure finding a LaFayette replacement isn't easy!! But hopefully they'll announce something soon!

Someone on reddit said they saw him on Saturday night and he was obviously sick, red faced, sweating and having a hard time singing. javier tweeted a photo of himself doing a breathing treatment prior to the show you saw and had mentioned being sick, so guess that is what happened

I wonder if they'll just extend him, honestly. I really liked Seth as Jefferson, but it's pretty impossible for anyone to live up to DD's Lafayette.

This is my biggest concern about seeing it next week. I'm going to try & remain open minded!

This is the thing. I don't even think his performance was bad, nobody can replicate DD.

No, I couldn't tell he was sick at all (though our seats were rear mezz, so maybe people closer could tell). I told DH that if that's how good Javier is "subpar," I really want to see him again healthy!

I actually thought Seth did a great job as Lafayette/Jefferson. I had pretty low expectations of anyone other than Daveed in the role, so I was surprised at how impressed I was by Seth.

Also, I think people would be prettttty pissed if we randomly started new Hamilton threads every time we had something to say. It seems... not annoying at all to keep it in one self-contained thread that people then don't have to click on if they're not interested.

Well according to our mod no one reads this thread anymore. I'm not sure how she came to that conclusion.
