I feel like firing him would be best for the company. People like him don't change. They just learn to hide it better while still discriminating.
I agree, if they have to sign forms about discrimination 2x/yr (as OP stated) then I see no reason for him to get out of it because "he didn't have proper training".
Oh I wholeheartedly agree. It's disgusting and there's no excuse. I'm glad her company is taking swift and proper action.
I am now reading updates to my mom who is also over invested. This is swift and awesome. Your company doesn't mess around.
I do wonder, will the admin ever know?!
Lol
I mean, this office is populated by human beings so ima go with "before 5pm she will have been fully and surreptitiously briefed."
Exactly. Kinda like when a teacher at our school left in like April to pursue other opportunities, after slamming a student against the wall. There isn't a single parent in the entire school who didn't hear the story.
Dude, your company gets more shit taken care of in 4 hours than mine would have in 4 days. That is awesome. Peace out, motherfucker.
Exactly. It took us TWO YEARS to fire a professor for plagiarism. As in, he wrote a book made entirely of pages from other books and sold it to his students. TWO YEARS. And he wasn't even tenured.
This thread needs to be pinned to every board as an example of how to post a fucking story. This was amazing. Better than amazing. Like, I need a cigarette after that amazingness.

No matter what happens next, someone needs to take that poor, dealing with an awful boss, TTC, rights violated admin out for margaritas immediately. But not until everything has played out. I'm still only 75% convinced he's fired. I want reports of the cardboard box. I want to see him walked out.
Do you think they immediately fired him , or he decided to double down on the comments behind closed doors that caused them to terminate? Damn!!!!
That's what I wonder too. Like if he had shown SOME realization of "Oh yeah... i get it", he may have saved himself. But instead, he was all "But I don't understand why I can't ask that or make hiring decisions based on it???" and sealed his fate.
I am and I am not. I was hopeful once the HR person came in on a day off to deal with it that he would be fired. HR came into the office if they were going to brush this under the rug that could've been handle via phone the primary reason for having her come in would be to make sure there is no blowback from firing him and to handle it by the book.

My money says this is not the first "HR issue" he has had. This is just the biggest, the loudest, and the last. And that once he got into the HR's office, he doubled down (double downed? idk).
And you can bet your sweet ass Legal has at least been informed of this and is keeping an eye on it.

Part of me hopes the admin doesn't find out. Infertility can be a very private thing and the knowledge that her manager e-mailed a bunch of fellow managers to ask if he could fire her for having an HSG makes me worry it would make her uncomfortable.
Of course, maybe she reported him for the inappropriate questions which would be even better.
