He really doesn't know when to shut up and does think he's always right (it's annoying with projects. Because everyone else is always wrong. Even on things he knows nothing about.)
Excellent. He probably dug himself a nice, big hole!
Part of me hopes the admin doesn't find out. Infertility can be a very private thing and the knowledge that her manager e-mailed a bunch of fellow managers to ask if he could fire her for having an HSG makes me worry it would make her uncomfortable.
Of course, maybe she reported him for the inappropriate questions which would be even better.
Yeah that's a good point. I would much rather just rejoice in knowing my a-hole boss was mysteriously fired than know that however many people in the company are talking about my private medical issue.
This was incredibly satisfying. Excellent storytelling. I wish every story here about asshole bosses doing illegal and/or assholish things ended this way.
I am sooooo glad I came in here and read this. I experienced something similar in my first pregnancy and didn't get as satisfying of a resolution. This almost makes up for it.
He shared her personal medical details though right? Why wouldn't it apply?
HIPAA has to do with healthcare companies - doctors, hospitals, etc. - protecting your privacy. You telling your boss about something and him sharing it doesn't fall under HIPAA.
