I bought a Kipling case for all my supplies. Guys, I have a problem. The Washi tape was one I had been eyeing.
My most recent spreads are the August habit tracker and 3 workouts I can do in 30 minutes or so once the work gym opens. I can share if people would like!
I have been playing with various spreads in a 5star spiral notebook as I watch tv and it's actually a lot of fun. Now that I have my supplies I'm not sure if I'll work on it tonight since I got the new HP too!

I'm doing okay so far this week. Trying a new weekly spread. I like it so far; but sometimes feel like I'm writing the same thing in a few different spots (Monthly log, weekly log, daily tracker). I don't know if that's just because it's the first of the month, or because I need to change things up.
@sessalee, I'd love to see your monthly tracker. And really, we can support you in your problem
namasteak, I think playing with spreads sounds like a good idea. I constantly remind myself it's about figuring out what works for you.

I have been sucked in. Although I cheated a little and bought a Molskin that has a weekly spread pre printed on the left hand side and the right side is just lined. I use that side to menu plan, make a to do list, make a grocery list, and make a weekly habit tracker.
I even talked DH into buying a smaller version of the one I got. He keeps peeking at mine to get ideas. He already told me he's going to have to rework his spread for next week. Lol

I'm trying to decide what to pages to start with: -year at a glance -weekly view for appointments on the left side & notes on the right -meal plan on the left and shopping list on the right -savings page -cleaning list -gratitude log -house update list
Eta - these are not my pages, just my favorite inspiration pages

A few ideas from my list of lists: Restaurants to try Home projects Date ideas Movies to watch Books to read Master favorite meal list for meal planning Wishlist (personal/home) Gift ideas
They have solid cover ones that are a little cheaper and they make a pocket version. I bought mine at Barnes and Noble and used a 20% off coupon.
It has monthly layouts in the front, then the weekly layouts, and some lined pages in the back that I plan on using for some fun lists. I just knew if I used a blank notebook I would get lazy and no keep up on making my spreads. So this is like planner mees bullet journal.

I considered this one but couldn't find it at any stores near me =(
I took a class at work on task management today and many of the principles are part of the bullet journal. I am going to try to merge the two together.
All I have right now are appointments, things to do and random thoughts. I think I am going to add a page for random things I need to buy, habit tracker and cute things my kids do.
You guys are amazing. I use an arc notebook from Staples but super inefficiently, I had never heard of bullet journals. As soon as work dies down I am going to try this!
I am definitely liking my weekly tracker more this time around. I did a grid on one page with a box for each day. I can quickly jot down what is happening on each day, with plenty of space for things that pop up.
scsarah, I also feel like I am re-writing a lot of stuff more than once. I think part of it is when you get set up you set up three different spreads. After you do the future log and monthly log and just start tracking days, it's not as repetitive.
I'm still figuring out what I want to do. On day 3 of using a composition notebook. So far, it's mostly a to-do list with a habit tracker.
I'd love to see pics of real journals! Pinterest is intimidating! namasteak, I like your inspiration pics...pretty, but simple! I was super impressed when I thought they were yours.

I agree that you can write down the same things a lot, to me that's helpful to get me to do them!
I am loving it. I have only done a few basic spreads, but it is helping me be organized. I ordered a huge pack of gel pens from amazon, and love all the colors. I use it for work and home to-dos.
I love filling in the completed to do box!
When you have a long term list, like favorite meals, where in the book are you putting it? Random? The back?

The whole idea of a bullet journal (or at least, one of the guiding principles) is that you can make a page anywhere, and just add it to the index. No need to put something in the back, skip pages, etc. Mine is tucked in the middle, page like 44. I have random pages everywhere but I can always find them because I keep the index up to date. "threading" is what you use when you have something that goes over a page. SO if you're collecting notes on a trip and you run out of room on page 19, but have used the next pages, you just write "-> page 82".
@sessalee I wasn't a fan of the Staedtler ball point pens that I bought the other day so I totally just bought the felt tip ones from Amazon. I write more neatly with felt tip. I can't wait!

Send them all to me I will give them a good home!
I have the felt tip but don't write as nicely with them for general notetaking - but use them for outlining, tables, headlines, dates, etc. I have a 6" ruler tucked in the pocked in the back of the journal I use daily.
Still working on mine. I bought the notebooks at Target. The Navy is my main one. The floral small notebooks (i have 3 that came in a pack) are for house projects, professional goals & workout/health stuff.

I would but I actually returned them to Target. I only used the black to write a few things and realized I didn't love them so figured I wasn't a monster for returning at that point.
I need to get a mini ruler. I also bought an adhesive pen loop from Amazon for $6.
I've never heard of bullet journals, but I've been doing this in Wunderlist for the past couple of years. I have a Task for each Month (goals) and a Daily one too. It's super helpful in getting things done!
