I dropped my ballot off today. My first time voting Democrat. No sticker, wahhh. Reading through this thread, I realized that I've never voted in a booth before, mostly due to being military and voting absentee. I live in WA, which would (probably) only go red in a dire catastrophe, and I was tempted to vote Libertarian so the party can get the 5% needed to get funding, but I just didn't think I could take the chance.
AZ here: I've been up since 3am with excitement. Got to polling place (at a church) at 5:45 for a 6am opening and there are about 30 people ahead of me.
Not sure if the actual count, it's completely black thanks to no nearby street lights and the sprinklers just turned on...hoping I don't get wet but either way it'll be worth it.
On the news today they said you could wear clothes supporting a candidate and could take a selfie but I didn't risk it in the clothes.
Admit that I got a little teary. My ward is extremely diverse and it was so great to see everyone come out and vote today - especially those registering for the first time.
I don't go here but I had to get excited somewhere!!
I just casted my secret vote for HRC in KY. No one IRL knows I'm voting for her, but I've known for months. My H is voting 3rd party and thinks I am as well. One days I'll have the strength not to be so secretive about it.
And I voted for a gay man!!!!
I got a little teary when my choices popped up at the end for me to confirm. I'm wearing a blue dress today!!
Just voted this morning in Georgia! 25 minute wait at 7am. I hope the turnout stays this good. When we tried to vote on Thursday the line was the length of a football field.
Voted! DD was so excited to come with me and vote for the first female president. I'm bummed my polling place didn't have stickers. We had to wait about 15 minutes, we NEVER have lines. The election judge said this was the first time she has ever seen so many people first thing in the morning.
Now to try to focus on work the rest of the day and not stress out.
Lurker and this place makes me happy. I'm in a red state and always think I'm the only person voting blue. But when I voted, everyone around me was talking about how much they want Hillary in office.
