He is the only one she didn't physically interact with. Dean and even those idiots from the Life & Death brigade got hugs. They just looked at each over across a desk.
No she hugged him at the end. About the book. A big hug.
I don't understand how those are the words Amy always wanted it to end with. Especially since Rory most likely would have been 21-22 unless she always wanted a time jump.
Yep pretty sure it was just a ploy to get more eps out of Netflix. Ugh.

In which the sperm came OUT OF HIS BODY and ended up IN HERS.
Sorry, I meant walk away forever. The proposal at the end of season 7 didn't really signify him walking away from that world, at least IMO. It was more him trying to bring Rory into it. He was still going to work for his father, it was just that she'd be there too, with her avocado tree and flitting around with him in that life. Not her real life.
No, his dad cut him off after the bad business deal. He wasn't working for his dad at all.
(Sorry I'm a season 7 apologist lol)
He didn't walk away from his FAMILY though. He was just going to do his OWN THING. Which was building HIS OWN dynasty. Exactly like his father's. But for some reason he didn't recognize this or thought it made him better than his dad. LOL.
God I just hate Logan so much. Why couldn't he die in a leaf fire at the end of fall? WHY DO YOU GIVE ME NOTHING, ASP?

Logan cheats on women. Rory is fine with sleeping with him on the side for awhile, but she's not going to actually settle down with a guy like that. Christopher loved Lorelai but he was shitty. So is Logan.
Jess is a good man - even when he was a troubled kid, he was good deep down, like Luke. He never would have let Rory steal a boat or drop out of school. He makes Rory better. Logan makes Rory worse.
Luke and Jess would never cheat on women. They are both good men who truly love Lorelai/Rory and will wait around forever for them to realize it.
I was hoping for a scene like in season 6 where Jess comes in and asks Rory what the hell she's doing with her life. Then they'd make out.

I really thought that when the life & death brigade showed up Logan would say he was leaving Odette.
I wanted this so so so bad. They are all so freaking cheesy, but I love them!!!
The more that I think about it, the more pissed off I get. I feel like Logan is so much better than Cristopher in so many ways and Rory isn't even going to give him a chance because she's a brat. He would have walked away from Odette if she had said one word. The whole wild walk in the woods thing pissed me off too. You're a grown woman Loralei, get over yourself. The phone call to Emily did make me cry though.
This is one of those endings that I'm going to be be pissed off forever about, like HIMYM.
You think Christopher would have kept a side piece going on while he was engaged to another woman for...years, it sounds like?
No. Logan is an asshole. A spineless asshole, actually. He's not willing to let go of the "safe" option of Odette to be with Rory. I just can't have any respect for a man who chronically cheats on his fiance. I wouldn't give him a chance either! I think maybe by the end Rory realized this, and that's why she never told him.
I AM MAD. I'M GOING TO BE MAD ALL DAY AND WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE DECORATING FOR CHRISTMAS AND NOW I'M MAD. THANK YOU VERY MUCH PALLADINOS OR SHOULD I SAY PALLASUCKOS.
I hated the last 4 words. If they'd stopped when Rory says she wants to remember it all then that would have been perfect.
I think I would have been happier without the reboot - then I could have imagined it how I wanted. Richard alive, Rory and Paris and Lane having super amazing lives like they always wanted.
I did love Emily's story though, she's amazing. And I loved the quick wedding, the song was perfect. And that Kirk got some redemption of it being perfect.
A total aside, but I wanted Luke to bust out another Chuppah, this time for their wedding to each other. I kept trying to figure out how the last four words could possibly be "You made me (a) Chuppah."

I wanted the original Chuppah to come out. I should have paid more attention to see if it's in the yard still.
Perfection. All of them. I die for the top Rory wore at the spring festival food thing.
The one outfit that earned a  was when Rory decided to interview the people in lines in polka-dot high heels and a full demin skirt. Girl whut?
I thought that was a call back to the dress Lorelai made for the winter dance she went to with Dean, when they fell asleep at Miss Pattys. Only this time, the dress saw some actual action.

Since I've been bitching about the ending (also the fucking life and death brigade taking a magical mystery steampunk tour where someone buys a bar and a car and also an inn? Can we get even a little realism? Ugh. Anyway.) I do want to mention something I really liked in the final episode, where Lorelai and Emily recreate the first episode, with her asking for money and Emily doing all of Richard's lines. I thought that scene was actually lovely.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."

I'm glad you typed this out so I didn't have to. Christopher wanted to marry Lorelei and wanted to "do the right thing".
Emily, Michele, and Paris were the only bright spots in this mess. Emily's DAR meeting was the absolute best.

I would totally watch more episodes with just Lorelei and Emily. I agree with whoever (sorry, forget who!) mentioned that now, as adults watching this, we are more drawn to the dynamic between Lorelei and Emily. They were by far the best part of this reboot, especially their scenes together. Even though my situation is not the same and my mom and I don't have the baggage that Lorelei and Emily do, I can see tiny parts of my relationship with my mom in theirs.
Rory's character is so close to my own age but I just do not relate to her at all. And I am someone who still doesn't know what she "wants to be when she grows up" and am not in love with my job and trying to find my niche in the universe so to speak. But I have a job because bills. And don't sleep with an engaged guy repeatedly. I don't know. I was disappointed in Rory's character grown up. I related to her HS character a lot because I was the overachiever, stressed-out-about-school person who was a perfectionist and I related to that and even a bit to her rebelling when she was in college. But this Rory I do not get at all.

I only watched Gilmore Girls for the first time a year or so ago, so I've always been more drawn to Lorelei's storyline than Rory's. So I was deliriously happy with how Luke and Lorelei ended up. I love that they have a comfortable, happy life together where they both run their businesses and live in their crazy town.
I really didn't want Rory to end up with any of her past boyfriends. For the first two episodes, I was really hoping that Logan was lying about having a fiance because he was secretly in love with Rory and didn't want her to know it. That man is gorgeous. I love the way his eyes crinkle when he smiles at Rory. And calls her Ace. SWOON.
But I agree with others that Jess is better for her because he encourages her and supports her.
The pregnancy thing is just stupid. Has there been any talk of additional episodes?? I'd watch them, of course, but watching Rory live in Stars Hollow and recreate her mother's life doesn't sound entertaining.
Wait, or in Queens?? When did she talk to Lorelei about finding an apartment there. WAIT A MINUTE, HOLD THE DOOR. When she was telling Lorelei she was looking for an apartment in Queens with 2 rooms -- one for her and one for writing, did she actually mean she wanted a room for her and a room for the baby? Is she planning to support herself and a child in an apartment in NYC with no job? And only the first 3 chapters of a book no one has agreed to publish??? WTF, Rory.
I hate everyone except Emily. Possibly because Emily's storyline is also basically my life. I just want to slap Lorelai & Rory. And drive Rory to Planned Parenthood so she's not tied to Logan for the rest of her life.
But I've been doing a rewatch of the whole show and I'm wishing I could just watch an Emily & Richard show instead. Fuck everyone else.

I was wondering the same things about the move to Queens! You don't have $ for underwear but you're suddenly contemplating an apartment in Queens???

Or could it be the Wookiee?!?!?
ASP loves parallels too much for it to be a random father. Has to be like Lorelai, another rich boy from a good family.

I don't know. Her mom has money, her dad has a shit ton of money, her grandparents have a ton of money.
I kind of got the feeling that the big stuff for Rory is always taken care of, she just has to ask for it.
Plus, and it crossed my mind, Logan will have to pay some hefty child support.
