Do we know why they all drink scotch throughout each season? That wasn't a thing in the original series. Wondering if it's an homage to Richard/Edward or something.
I noticed that too. Maybe.
It could also be that they are a bit older now, so their drink preference is a bit more mature.

I drink a hell of a lot more scotch as a widow than I did before. I am Emily.
I feel like they drank lots of martinis in the series.
I wanted this so so so bad. They are all so freaking cheesy, but I love them!!!
The more that I think about it, the more pissed off I get. I feel like Logan is so much better than Cristopher in so many ways and Rory isn't even going to give him a chance because she's a brat. He would have walked away from Odette if she had said one word. The whole wild walk in the woods thing pissed me off too. You're a grown woman Loralei, get over yourself. The phone call to Emily did make me cry though.
This is one of those endings that I'm going to be be pissed off forever about, like HIMYM.
You think Christopher would have kept a side piece going on while he was engaged to another woman for...years, it sounds like?
No. Logan is an asshole. A spineless asshole, actually. He's not willing to let go of the "safe" option of Odette to be with Rory. I just can't have any respect for a man who chronically cheats on his fiance. I wouldn't give him a chance either! I think maybe by the end Rory realized this, and that's why she never told him.
I AM MAD. I'M GOING TO BE MAD ALL DAY AND WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE DECORATING FOR CHRISTMAS AND NOW I'M MAD. THANK YOU VERY MUCH PALLADINOS OR SHOULD I SAY PALLASUCKOS.
Devil's advocate here I swear but didn't Chris basically do the same thing with Lorelei and Sherry that Logan did with Rory and Odette?

Also, can we overall talk about what a shitty business owner Lorelei is? Yes, she runs a charming inn but WTF at having so few amenities and being such a brat about the kitchen/ hiring a chef ?
I felt like they should have addressed that she doesn't need money, but felt lost career wise/ was surprised she wasn't successful as she expected to be. The money angle is so unrealistic and a distraction, when it would still be realistic to feel lost, even if she isn't financially insecure.

I am emotionally exhausted, angry and a little drunk. Fuck it all. This better be it. I refuse to watch anymore episodes. I mean in all seriousness NOTHING happened. Nothing. I'm so pissed.

I don't think Chris and Sherri were engaged but yeah, basically.

The chef bit was annoying
I don't understand how she needed money from Emily again though. Even without the amenities, it seemed they were fully booked and hello, the inn had to be doing pretty damn well to keep getting these celebrity chefs to come in and cook/do pop-up kitchens. Why couldn't she finance the annex on her own or get a business loan? SaveSave

She needed cash fast and said she couldn't get a loan in time. But also she knew Luke didn't want the money Richard had left him.

I know he almost left Sherry for Lorelei but it wasn't a long, purposeful, on-going affair while they were engaged to be married.

Ah, got it. Didn't hear her say she couldn't get a loan in time. I mean, not that realism matters, but it's hardly like she is going to get the money out of the estate left for Luke in a few days either or like she needs to have the cash in hand immediately since closing on a commercial property is certainly at least a month or two out.
Do you think that the reason they didn't have Jess and Rory get together was because of how awful Milo is IRL?
Im just going to keep quoting you. I hate that guy and it will color every character he ever plays from now on. Even if Alexsis Blidel isn't that great, if he really did hit her (and Hayden) like the rumors say, then I would not be surprised if she was like HELL NO on them getting together in the end.
I've always been Team Logan but this reboot did sway me towards Team Jess. So I hope I'm wrong about the actor!
You know what I just realized? The gazebo is where Rory told lane that she lost her virginity right? And then it was where she told her mom she was pregnant. Or am I thinking too full circle now? Lol.

I know this means nothing, but the GGuys LOVED milo. They said he was a delight.

Plus she repeatedly takes like month long vacations (the roller coaster riding in season 7).
Don't get me started on the inn. I am a hotel manager and I manage the financials. I have run numbers on the dragonfly.

The Rory and Lane conversation was in Lane's room in the house with the band. Just watched that one recently

Ah. It must have been when lane was telling Rory about the honeymoon sex.

I'm really happy with Emily and her story. Just perfect--she went out on her own, out of her "world"--it's like she finally understood Loreali a bit more. And I love that she finally kept a maid

Not for years. He was intending on ending it with Sherry before he found out she was pregnant.
I mean neither are a saint but to say Logan is waaaaaaaay better than Chris is...a stretch.
Perfection. All of them. I die for the top Rory wore at the spring festival food thing.
The one outfit that earned a was when Rory decided to interview the people in lines in polka-dot high heels and a full demin skirt. Girl whut?
Really? Because all I could think during her interview with that Sandee lady was how wrinkled her "lucky outfit" dress looked. And then I realised I've turned into my mother. Full circle!
You know what gets me? The amount of screen tim wasted forcing us to watch the Stars Hallow musical. That was precious time where something interesting could be happening.

Yeah, it feels like ASP was determined to shoehorn Sutton Foster in and she probably didn't want to do it just for a 30 second cameo.

Sort of random, and I need to rewatch, but there was a particular word Scott Patterson/Luke used several times in one of his longer speeches that didn't seem right--like he read he script and kept pronouncing this particular word wrong and no one corrected him. I really wish I could remember because now it's driving me crazy.

There were just so many inconsistencies throughout it was like Amy hates us all. Like in one scene, Rory tells Jess she has no license and no car, and then in the next fucking scene she's driving her own car to the cemetery. Also, little things like the time zone zaniness - Rory is watching Paris's kids and it's like lunchtime and she calls Logan and it's 2 in the morning there? No. London is 5 hours ahead of the east coast right now, which I know because my SO was there for a month. Whatever Amy!
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
