I declared a No-buy for makeup and skincare in Jan. I just bought a foundation pump for the NARS foundation that I picked up after Christmas. I opened it to use it on Monday and found there wasn't a fucking pump on the bottle, after the chick in sephora said it had a pump. Lying whore.
Does it count as breaking the no-buy if was just something that I really need for something I'm using almost daily?
Oh I didn't notice I had a 5x pt offer for UD at Ulta. I might have to pick up the Perversion mascara, I'm really liking the sample of it right now and I'm almost done with all of my current deluxe size mascaras. My spending less on makeup isn't going too well lol. I placed an order on Beautylish tonight too.
Fell off the "tighten the purse strings" wagon today. But I made an Xmas return and had some Nordstrom credit. The foundation is dreamy. And now that I've tried both the Hourglass and NYX veil primers, I can say the NYX is pretty darn close.
So I am assuming the 5x points for It Cosmetics doesn't include the brushes. There isn't really any small print anywhere for me to read the details
It Cosmetics is seemingly a different line than It Brushes for Ulta, which sucks. I really want some It brushes but I don't think their sets are well thought out. I had ulta points saved that I was going to use for that purpose but in the end I could decide what was the best use of my points so I gave up the idea entirely.
They need a good face set and eye set. And they need to do a better job of detailing the differences in their brushes.

Oh and one of my resolutions is to be active over here so forgive my ass butting back in.
Here are some of my randoms:
I'm canceling Ipsy and Beauty Box 5. I just don't care and mainly use it to avoid buying full size skincare. I just need to invest in Purlisse and be done with it.
I finally saw Milani Amore lip shit in a store and while I wasn't sold on the hype, I figured when am I going to see it again? And omg that shit is the truth. It feels like nothing on and the color is matte, full coverage, and does not fade.
It Superhero mascara is my HG.
So is Femme Couture Get Flawless foundation. It's everything I expected Born This Way to be but wasn't. The latter was oily feeling, rubbed off on everything, just sat on top of my face like cheap sunscreen and otherwise broke my heart.
Other products that have worked for me recently are Stila stay all day eyeliner, Butter London's cream blush, Palladio liquid concealer, Femme Couture Get Radiant, Real Techniques orange beauty blender thing.
I'm not yet sure how I feel about my beauty blender eyeliner stencil thing. It might suck. There might be a learning curve. I've only had it for a week. I keep blinking.
I used WnW Reserve Your Cabana as a finishing powder yesterday (I'd seen a PP mention doing that). I looked like a disco freak alien with saucer-sized pores.
LOL! That might have been me. sorry...it's a little intense. Also I have to do my best to avoid the area around my nose because that always ends up looking kinda crazy cakes. Despite my love of GLOWING.

I've missed you here. Tell me more about this Femme Couture. Where do you buy it?
I have NEVER IN MY LIFE found any of the Milani stuff that people love in a display at any of my drug stores. Oh, I take that back...Luminoso blush. I've been able to find that.
I was just about to cave and hit up the Hautelook Becca sale for a backup of my beloved Fig souffle, and it's already sold out. Balls.

Sally Beauty for Femme Couture, like ten to fifteen bucks maybe. Great coverage, light feeling on the skin, very little transfer, great amount of product for your money. I love it. They have sales on it pretty often. Amazon sells it toout.
My Beauty Diary Imperial Bird's Nest (10) My Beauty Diary Apple Polyphenol (10) Freeset Donkey Milk Aqua (10)
The prices seemed pretty good, and I also have a red card so extra 5% off, and there's a $5 gift card for $15 beauty purchase offer right now!
Ohh, the freeset at least is the same price you can get on amazon. add in the gift card and the 5% back and it's cheaper. As I would know since I JUST BOUGHT IT ON AMAZON. I really hope somebody at Ulta is taking notes here. THIS IS HOW THIS IS DONE.

Yep Target is $16.59 compared to Amazon's $16.50, but the 5% and $5 gift card freebie make it worth it!! The MBD ones were $2-3 cheaper than what I saw on Amazon.
My under eye concealer just isn't cutting it, it's on my pan list but I think I need to draw the line here. My 8 month old is cutting his four top teeth and sleep just isn't happening. I came to Ulta for a brow wax and they recommended bye bye undereye, so we will see how it goes tomorrow.

I hated that shit at first. The texture takes getting used to. But after that I loved it. I just need more yellow than my shade had and I haven't bothered to find out if It makes that.

I use RYC on my whole face as a finishing powder. Nose and all. I buff it in with a kabuki brush so it sort of melts into my base.
It works on me (at least I think it does, LOL), though I can see how it wouldn't work on everyone.
That's really pretty! At $30 I'll get that. I've been wanting to try Viseart shadows.
I bought one of the $45 6 pan palettes once when I had an ebates bonanza, and the quality is amazing. The shadows almost feel like cream shadows. They are similar to MUFE, if you've ever tried those.
I have been looking for my holy grail travel palette, and this one looks like it could be it.

Yes even the case is super cute. That looks great for tossing in a travel bag.
