Anyone have any good suggestions for primers for dry skin? My makeup seems to be flaking off by the end of the day. I'm also working on my moisturiser but figure a better primer couldn't hurt.

I've heard good things about the Too Faced Hangover primer

notasafeplace -- Try it!! I agree that all the colors are really dark. I mean, I know they call it "easy smoky eye," but the concept is a great one and it would be better to have more colors.
I used the Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Pink (from a Sephora 500 point sample) all over my eyelid, then I used the Smouldering Brown on the outside half and blended it in. I was really happy with it.

Ugh I've been in a rut and hardly been wearing any makeup. I miss it but haven't had the motivation to do a full face.
I may go buy a few pieces on my wish list next Saturday, maybe that will help.
Not that you necessarily need to wear makeup--I go through periods where I need a break--but whenever I just feel uninspired, I love scrolling through Pinterest for inspiration. Not even makeup pins per se, just pictures of pretty and stylish women.
I just don't believe micellar water or cleansing wipes. I think it just rubs dirt into pores.
Yeah, I can't get on board with any of those. I still do the foaming cleanser after the micellar water.
And I still can't effing get the MUFE pencil totally washed off. I'm considering getting the MUFE makeup remover but it kind of pisses me off to have to buy a specific product just to get it off my face
Do you not double cleanse with an oil cleanser?! The oil usually takes off my liquid liner.

I can quadruple cleanse and it still won't come off. It's not liquid, it's pencil and it's awesome in that it doesn't smudge or smear but the flip side is it's a complete bitch to get off.

I used Becca backlight primer at Sephora the other day, under the foundation I've been eyeing (NARS sheer glow), and it was very moisturizing.

I've been being good with not buying random crap, and then I got the 20% coupon and my bff emailed me and asked if I had a coupon becasue she needed some mascara...$50 worth of mascara. So I got refills of some boring shit...and a benefit blush (on sale), elf highlighter, and a julep tinted lip oil. Oops.
Plus two GWP bags, a free primer and a free nail polish.
I feel like I just made out like a bandit at Ulta. I had an Ebates 47 gift card there, and my 2000 points just waiting for a good deal. Then I got the 20% off everything coupon, and the platinum perk beauty bag, plus I had a UD perversion sample and living proof perfecting spray sample free with any purchase.... 208 dollars worth of products (plus whatever the gifts with purchase are worth) and I have two dollars left on the gift card. Ulta's rewards definitely trump Sephora.

Man all I got from Ulta was a 20% off one non prestige item. I did order the Becca Amethyst highlighter and a Besame lipstick from Sephora and got the Beauty Blender cleaner pt perk and a free deluxe Dior perfume.
I'm having an existential crisis when it comes to my Ulta order, lol! I've been waiting for a good coupon to use with 2000 points, I'm about to run out of my favorite Living Proof dry shampoo and need a new Clarisonic brush, so this showed up just in time.
I was also planning to treat myself to another palette with points as well, but I'm really torn between Modern Renaissance and Tartelette in Bloom. One of the Naked Basics is a dark horse contender, and I might have enough leeway with $150 that I could get one anyway. KvD Shade & Light is also on my radar, but obviously not at Ulta, just something to consider as I consider my options. I currently have Naked 2 and Naked 3, and I probably use Naked 3 more since I gravitate towards warm looks. I also have some Colourpop SuperShock Shadows that I love, especially the metallics.
I know I need more good mattes but can't resist a good metallic. I tend to shy away from the darker colors in my palettes, but I am branching out as I watch more tutorials and learn different techniques. I also like neutrals more than bright colors, and while I think I might get more adventurous if I had the extra colors in MR, who knows.

Share with the class what you bought.....
I don't feel like I got anything fun. Lol. I debated over a few palettes, but I just don't need anything like that and will never use what I have.

Sooooo, any suggestions?
I'd get the Modern Renaissance. With your other palettes the taste one is too similar.
Oh and I saw that Ulta now has three Cosrx products. The Korean skincare section has grown to four pages.
Once again for a substantial markup over amazon pricing. Wtf ulta? I refuse to believe they can't make the margins work to match at least the amazon sellers.
I love her! What products are you using? Toning twice a day is the only thing I haven't started yet because everything I've tried is too pricey or dries me out.
I go a sample of the DE soap duo and I'm not sure it works for me. I've only used each one twice (last night and this morning) & both times my skin felt a little tight afterwards.

I've noticed this since I started hanging out on this board. How is their return policy?

I did my makeup this morning and it was pretty easy to see where all my money went in the past two months.
I dyed my hair today, I went from a golden blonde to a brighter, ashier blonde and something is not right with my makeup. I had on a warmer lipstick so I'll try something different tomorrow and see how it goes.

omgidie I vote for Modern Renaissance. It's versatile: plenty of neutrals but of course the rusts and berries. There's a good mix of mattes and metallics. And I keep discovering new colors I love. The color is super saturated and has great staying power.
