I'm so confused by Vitamin C. I watch someone like Gothamista and she uses it in the morning but then someone else says to use it at night. Which is it?
You can do either and it prob depends on your other routine steps.
I like using my niacin products during day and it doesn't play well with vit c. I also use vit c at night because I have more time for absorption.
I don't like how my Drunk Elephant layers underneath my makeup so I use at night. I think mfluder is right about percentages and use time.
I can only get DE C to work when I use something else to apply - a couple of drops of oils usually. I tried TO buffet drop with it this morning and it also seemed to work. DE C is really a pain to apply. ...

I have been really pleased with DE and feel like it has helped my pigmentation. I just got TO Buffet so I will have to try that! Thanks! I also picked up the glycolic toner and niacinamide.

Does anyone know if the 5% lactic acid will perform similarly to Sunday Riley good genes? I got a sample of good genes and it worked so well on my skin, but I can't afford $105 for 1oz.
I admittedly find a lot of skincare overwhelming to navigate, but I want to take better care of my face!
I finally got my colors last week. I like both formulas. And the color I picked is perfect for my skin. It's so hard to find a good foundation match for my pink undertone skin. Everything looks so yellow on me.
I also got the Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% and I LOVE it. I've only been using it a few days and it makes my skin feel amazing after applying. At first I used it at night to see how my skin would react and when I realized how smooth it made my skin feel, I started using it in the AM instead.

There was recently a blog post from someone looking for a dupe. She said she wasn't able to find one, due to the unique ingredients in Good Genes, but she found some alternatives. I have the MUAC serum she recommends.

nice! I can't decide if DEC is working for me? I'm almost done with my bottle. I may try something else (one of the TO?). That's probably when I'll notice how well DE was working LOL.

its skin so of course YMMV but I liked TO 5% more. The SR smelled glorious but it was just too strong my skin. So I definitely don't think it's a dupe, but it could work for you.

I am also not sure what the DE C is doing. I also have the cream one from TO. It seriously feels like sandpaper, I do not like it.

The TO 23% is not sooo not elegant. I hear its effective, but yeah, I don't like it so I won't get to that point LOL.
Next up I'm going to try the TO C derivatives, maybe something will work. Or I'll see that DE C is doing something? (or hopefully, not at all, for my wallet of course)
I struggled to understand how I could use any of the products and it felt like a big challenge to find ones that would work for all my skin issues and sensitivities. I thought this was a great review. Complete and helpful.
Also I think I found a silicone and oil free moisturizer! wawasecretlyevil

I've definitely noticed less redness since using the azelaic suspension, and it was an almost overnight difference. I just ordered a few backups.
That 30% glycolic peel does nothing for me, but I've been a MUAC peel user and p50 user for a few years already. I think I've got thick skin (I've also used up an entire Good Genes with no results).
I'm about halfway through the 2% retinoid serum. I like the way it feels, but it's too soon to see anything.

All my ordinary colors came in. 1.2YG and 2.0YG (serum and coverage, because lets face it, I'm an addict).
Also got buffet, the primer in the bottle (vs the bottle), niac.
Foundations are really nice. 2.0 is too dark, 1.2 a little too light (not horribly so, but a few drops of bronzer liquid or mixing in some of the 2.0 does the trick. This is a pretty common issue with me, so I'm not surprised).
The primer is really nice. I like it better than the one in the tube. The feel is just so nice.
Buffet is nice, not sure about effect, but its working in my regime. haven't yet introduced the Niac.
I love that I was able to just purchase 4 products, 3 of which are superstar actives, for $31. Take that DE and Sunday Riley!
Since I'm prone to redness/flushing, I just got some gentler forms of retinoid (2%....though their formulation isn't like tret, so it's much gentler), C (MAP), and AHA (Lactic Acid 5%). Also got some Natural Moisturizing Factors.
Once they arrived I will have...10 Ordinary products!
Also, I'm peeved that I signed up for the foundation months ago and I never got notification and they don't have any in stock. Same with Marula Oil. Oh, well.

bluestreet, I LOVE the lactic acid 5%. I think you will too. Let me know how you are doing with the 2% retinoid as it's a product of interest. I haven't gotten my foundation either (after a month).

Great to hear! I think we have similar skin concerns (like redness and anti-aging), so I hope it will do well with me.
I'll be sure to report back on the retinoid. I was finally able to not peel with my .05% tretinoin, but I think I'd like to see if a gentler formulation can help with redness.

I just put in another TO order via Beautylish. The Deciem website didn't have the silicone-free primer in stock but Beautylish has it. I also ordered a tube of the silicone-free moisturizer. Total: $18!
I am trying to work niacinamide, buffet, and the alpha arbutin into my routine but I am having pilling issues. I am assuming it's an order issue because none of them have silicones. It's annoying.
I ordered the niacinamide, buffet, toner and the primer. I'm trying to figure out what my skin doesn't like. Either it's just pregnancy making me break out or the toner or even the primer. Ughhh I should have slowly introduced them but I got too excited.

My TO order from Beautylish came in! I got the Natural Moisturizing Factors and the High-Spreadability Primer.
I am hoping the moisturizer will be a good replacement for FAB Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer and the primer can replace MAC Prep + Prime. I will save sooooo much money. We'll see.
The moisturizer is pretty small but FAB is $24 for 1.7 oz. I can get 4 tubes of the TO one for about the same price.

I am a fan of the primer. The moisturizer so far fine but I reach for the oils more right now it seems.

I have a bottle of Josie Maran argan oil and I use it during the winter. I also have a bottle of Acure marula oil. I want to try the TO ones though!
Do you use the hyaluronic acid too?
I just got an alert saying my TO order from DECIEM has shipped too! Hoooray!

I haven't yet tried the hyaluronic - I got nervous because I live I a dry area and YouTube made it sound like since it drew moisture out of air it can actually be drying for if there's not stuff to pull out. Now it's YouTube and I have not fact checked this. But it keeps making me put and take out of my cart over and over again lol.

All you have to do is put moisturiser/oil over it and then it won't dry you out. If you don't do that, then yes, it would.
