Marine biologist obviously. This was just after my phase where I wanted to play for the Orlando Magic. I'm the least athletic person alive so I have no idea where that came from.
I wanted to be an artist but when the time came to choose what to do in college I realized it made more sense to choose something that has a better chance of providing me with a steady liveable income (my family was poor and I would get just one shot at free college in my country) so I went into IT. I don't regret it, while I like art I don't have the discipline to be in a line of work like that and actually succeed.
Then in 10th grade I couldn't get higher than a C in Algebra 2 so my dream changed to be an English teacher (which is what I ended up doing door a while). That's my only C ever in my life and I'm a little annoyed at myself for letting it have that much sway on me.
I made it into the Army, but subsequently fractured my pelvis and got medboarded on out of there, so there that went. I tossed around law school until about 10 years ago as well.
I'm almost finished with my MA in history and am actually in the process of looking at schools with archaeology programs, so I'm back where I started in a way.

Haha, why the Magic? I grew up in Orlando during the Shaq years and I don't think I knew anyone who wanted to grow up to play for the Magic.
I was starting to think about law, but wanted to skip over lawyering straight to judge. Unless I was an Egyptologist. I think that was the year I decided against astronaut.
I also wanted to be a "cool mom" because my mom was SO OLD AND LAME (she was 28 when I was born) so I hatched a plan to graduate college in 3 years and maybe start early (Randolph Macon had a program where you could skip your senior year and finish your first year of college at the same time as you got your high school diploma).
So I'd graduate at 20/21 and have my first kid at 21/22 so I could be a cool, young mom. Since graduate school at 21 with a newborn would totes be a cinch.
TANGENT: Interestingly enough, I have a friend and former colleague who had her daughter at 18, then went to college and law school. Her daughter had HER first child at 20 (after graduating college early) and then went to medical school. So when I met her she was about 42ish, partner at a law firm, a grandmother and a mother of a doctor. Also, she looked about 30. She is the coolest person I know. And her daughter makes me feel like a slacker.

A pediatrician. My dream from age 4 until my first quarter of college, lol. I'm an ultrasound technologist who dreams of becoming a physician's assistant.

A therapist. And no, I had never actually been to one. But at 11, I just thought... that would be a good way to help people. I even entertained the idea of being a prison therapist because I thought those were probably the people who needed the most help, but I talked myself out of it because I decided going through the security checks every day would get boring. Idealism and naivety. *shrugs*
I suppose I was also thinking of being a writer someday but I didn't decide on journalism until I was in college and I could have never foreseen what I'm doing now because it would be several more years before I even knew about the internet.

Donnie? Why set your sights so low? Donnie was only a half step up from Danny.
I always wanted to be a lawyer and then work in politics. Then I got to high school and boys happened and at some point I stopped thinking I was smart enough for that and I just wanted to get married and be a mom.
So, I went to college for teaching because I thought that would be the most flexible choice for having a family and as it turns out I was built to teach kindergarten.
When we move back to Philly I might still try to get involved in local politics in some small way- who knows, maybe I'll go back to school and be secretary of education one day. I mean, I'm basically more qualified to be doing it than the person doing it right now.

I have no idea. Maybe it was the peak of Shaq/Hardaway? I don't even think I WATCHED basketball. I was just a weird kid.
Although it's not as awesome as my brother, who told everyone tha when he grew up he wanted to be "a big tall man that's fat." He's about 6'0" and weighs like 135.
