I suppose I was also thinking of being a writer someday but I didn't decide on journalism until I was in college and I could have never foreseen what I'm doing now because it would be several more years before I even knew about the internet.
Donnie? Why set your sights so low? Donnie was only a half step up from Danny.
Come on, rookie! You always pick the one that's most attainable. That's why I had the hots for Howie from BSB.
I've wanted to be a writer/author for as long as I can remember, so I'm sure that was still the dream when I was 11. Although, I did go through a short phase of wanting to be a teacher as well, and I can't remember if that phase was still going on at that point. I rather doubt it.
I always wanted to be a lawyer and then work in politics. Then I got to high school and boys happened and at some point I stopped thinking I was smart enough for that and I just wanted to get married and be a mom.
So, I went to college for teaching because I thought that would be the most flexible choice for having a family and as it turns out I was built to teach kindergarten.
When we move back to Philly I might still try to get involved in local politics in some small way- who knows, maybe I'll go back to school and be secretary of education one day. I mean, I'm basically more qualified to be doing it than the person doing it right now.
I will work on your campaign. Are you going to see Pat today?

Not today, Viv is still getting over being sick and I don't want to have her out in the chilly weather quite yet : (
We have a "with or without him" townhall planned for tonight though, so I'm hoping I can still go to that!

LOL. A yuppie. I didn't know what that meant, but my parents called our neighbors yuppies (they were good friends). I liked them a lot. They seemed to enjoy talking about their jobs. I knew they loved college (Texas A&M) and seemed to enjoy their life. We had a stressful life with my dad's military career and my mom becoming a teacher finally after not using her degree while they moved around so much.
Later I learned she was an accountant and he an engineer. I did major in business after studying engineering for two years. I have great memories of them and am glad they came into our family's life when they did.
A vet. I knew I wanted to work with animals, and that's all I knew at that point. Once I realized wildlife ecology was a thing, that became my goal (and it's what I do), so my desire to work with animals never changed!
I wanted to be a veterinarian. Eventually, I realized I didn't know if that was what I actually wanted to do or if it was just what everyone had told me I wanted to be for so long.
A writer then that changed and I wanted to go into the Air Force.
Writing didn't happen and neither did the Air Force but I did join a different branch of teh military for a few years. I was supposed to make a career out of the military and I didn't have a backup plan. Still don't but I shuffle along in a job I don't want to be in.
A marine biologist. I remember having no idea what I wanted to do, but at school we had to watch these career videos for a unit we were studying. Marine biologist was one of the video choices so I ran with it.
I'm now a SAHM with a degree in Supply Chain working a part time job doing accounting. Pretty sure they didn't have a career day video for that.
I wanted to be a Marine Biologist too because we did a "floating lab" day in 6th grade where we went on a field trip on a boat and studied the ocean and different organisms under microscopes and stuff. I just mainly liked being on the boat I think. I also wanted to be a doctor.
Forever lol. I didnt even finish college and now I'm a SAHM.

At 11, I wanted to be a paleontologist. Thank you, Dr. Alan Grant.
Then I moved on to cake baker at 13. Then FBI profiler at 16. Held on to that for my first year of college, then realized how hard to get that job actually is. So decided on mortician. Then went to grad school for school guidance counseling. Quit after 1 semester (personal anxiety reasons).
Worked in an elementary school in autism support, emotional support and life skills classrooms. Quit to stay at home with DS. Became a nanny because we are poor.

Honestly, a SAHM. My mom worked and I guess I had issues with that. She was a single mom who worked a lot and I was an only child so I was either with friends or alone a lot.
