That is H. He still talks about how he could have saved MTV.
I wanted to be a doctor. I'm a stay at home mom with an incomplete accounting degree. I don't know what I want to do with my life. I fear I screwed up by SAH.

I figured it was the only way I could meet Duran Duran and then they would like me. ha!
I wanted to be a hair stylist, but my mom said no. She told me to aim higher. She had a point, but my 11 year old dreams were crushed.
For most of my life I wanted to be a a teacher or librarian and a mom, which are not far from my current reality.
This makes me sad. Two of my friends, one of which, has been cutting my hair, since I was 12 (I am 40+), are very successful as hair stylist. It can be a great career choice.
I wanted to be a truck driver. We traveled a lot and had a CB radio (pre-cell phone days). I loved listening and talking to the truckers, while we rolled down the road, without seat belts, of course. Oddly, I hate to drive, as an adult, and ended up in corporate finance, before becoming a mostly SAH.
LOL... A woman in my son's playgroup was an MTV VJ. From her descriptions, it was definitely not the glamorous job it seemed, but her stories are hilarious.

At 11, I wanted to be a scientist.
But 9 was a year I remember wanting to be the first female president of the USA. I remember the student teacher (a girl) saying there was no way she'd ever want that job, so that made me second guess. My other wish was being a flight attendant, and my uncle told me I was "too smart" to do that. So, both of my wishes squashed in one year, lol.

At 11 I wanted to be an engineer. I wanted to be an engineer all the way through until 11th grade when I decided I was going to be an actress and went on to major in theatre in college. My parents were horrified, but let me do what I wanted. Now I wish I'd have majored in something more practical like engineering ... but that's just because the industry I fell into has changed and I hate it, but there isn't much I can do to pivot at this point without taking a fat paycut.
jane goodall or dian fosse. At that age, I was fascinated by primate cognition and social structures. I read everything I could about them both, koko the gorilla and anything else about primate communication.

A lawyer because I liked to argue with my mom and thought I was good at making my point (lol for days) even though I never got my way. No kids because I had no time for that nonsense.
Artist/animator; I was taking drawing lessons at the time. I was decent, but I never had that "need" to create constantly and by high school didn't have the interest in computer design.
Then I wanted architectural restoration. Didn't want the physics, and I found art history classes so dull in college, lol. Still love architecture and history. We found hardwood under our dining room pergo this weekend and I'm ridiculously excited.
In 1st grade my parents were called in severalt times because I point blank refused to do math for months, so boring. I now manage finaces, demographic reports, and a content management software in my job. Whatever powers that may be out there, they've got a sick sense of humor.

Gorillas in the Mist was my favorite movie for a long time in childhood.
A lawyer from the time I can remember until I was 18. I loved research, reading, analyzing, memorizing etc. Thought I would eventually become a judge.
Then I decided that I just wanted to make money and not take out more loans. Jokes on me, all of my friends who are lawyers do amazing and I still have $$$k in student loans for a business degree that was 'supposed' to pay off. This was the 1990s before law degrees became what they are today with people having a hard time finding attractive positions.
