I hate these people so much and I swear to God if I lose this dispute I am going to be so pissed. I replied to last nights email "Thank you, I will dispute with my credit card since I should not be charged to return defective merchandise"
their reply this morning (it was only one replacement, not two)
The first thing a credit card company asks for is our return policy. It is stated very clear and transparently on our site. We also have plenty of proof that you did indeed receive the rings, as well as two replacements. We have indisputable evidence we went above and beyond, as we do for all of our customers.
I'd write back that I would certainly not characterize refusing to take a defective ring back without charge as "indisputably" going "above and beyond" - but regardless it's in Amex's hands now. (and I strongly suspect they will take care of you)
A return policy of two weeks from ordering is absolutely ridiculous - you very well might not have even received them at that point.
So every other email came from generic customer service, signed "the everly team", the last one came from the owner.
Oh fuck no. I said earlier you should elevate to see if it's just bad luck you got the unhappy snatch dealing with your case and give someone else the chance to make it right. I am now 110% team dispute with credit card and light them on fire on social media. You have the receipts.

Call, don't email. Talk to a manager or supervisor. Document everything.

They don't publish a phone number on the website and the *owner* told her essentially to fuck off. So even with the phone number, which I did find, I don't think good ole Brenna is going to give OP her money back.

I'm a stubborn SOB, so I would scour the internet looking for contact info, even if it is just to yell at someone.
I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. I would create a PDF with all the emails and take pictures of the rings and submit all that with your complaint to American Express. They're so amazing with their customer service. I bet they take care of you.

Oh I did find it pretty easily but I'm going to assume it'll be wasted breath. Apparently 22ish year olds make terrible business decisions.

Also file a claim with the BBB, and then blast them on social media.
Unfortunately, the BBB is a privately owned company and if Everly rings is a member, the BBB keeps negative reviews off their site.
Mind blown. Everyone talks about BBB as if it's a legit thing. The more you know...
I'm glad you filed a dispute, shamrockshake. I know AMEX will take care of it but that shady company needs to be blasted nonetheless. That has to be one of the worst customer service stories I've ever heard. Ridiculous. And they're complete idiots if they think social media can't have an impact on their sales.

That is exactly what I did this morning with everything I had. What even better is one of the emails from them actually states
We unfortunately are having troubles with selected bands from just one of our manufacturing partners.
so yeah, the admit the bands are shitty but too bad for me. I bolded that and made a note in my claim to Amex

The bolded is nuts. I can't believe they're giving you such grief.
I know someone said their FB looks super edited. I'd tweet and instagram the crappy products and their responses. I'm not 100% sure but that's a lot harder for them to filter. See if you can find hashtags that their paid promoters (just guessing they've used them) have used to promote their products.

Right? Though it sounds like Jalapeñomel has had good luck with them lately, so maybe they've been changing their policies?
If their FB allows reviews you can leave one and my understanding is that businesses CANNOT alter or remove single reviews. They can disable the review feature on their page so that NO reviews show, but they cannot remove a single review. So I'd do that and blast them everywhere else you can. If they are on IG, create a post about it and use a hashtag that is their business name or a hashtag that they commonly use.

I'm done replying to her/ them. It's actually laughable now.
Again, just for clarity, they replaced it once. Also from the owner. Credit card fraud 😂
We have already been advised that we did everything to fulfill your purchase. We replaced the rings twice and offered you a third, which you refused. We offered to have you return it to our policy. Which you also refused. If you are filing a claim when we have done nothing wrong, that is credit card fraud.

Maybe her pet fox is the one replying. Because nothing else makes sense.

The owner is such a moron.
She really even didn't file a "claim" which would perhaps insinuate that she received nothing. She filed "a dispute" which is when two people don't agree on something.
I want to strangle this woman and this isn't even my fight. Lol.

I second whoever said to go to the BBB. Sometimes nothing happens, sometimes it actually works. It was basically the only way I got my laptop fixed a few years ago. If nothing else, it is a way to get them more negative public publicity.

I honestly think the owner would love a public brawl on social media. She's an instagrammer turned "business owner" so I'm going to guess she likes drama. A lot.
