I don't know how I've managed it, but that was my first Porefessional sample. Those Smashbox primers though - pretty sure I have at least half that were ever made. My skin hates them.
This was only my fourth Play box and I'm already thinking about canceling. So many primers and cream/stick highlighters. Not my cup of tea.
I kind of hate myself for wanting the morphe x JH palette. The live swatches she did look really nice.
You should check out a couple other swatch videos before you decide IMO - Samantha Ravndahl and Beautyybird. They look significantly different from Jaclyn's.
I have been:) The shades I like look pretty good in most videos. I'm well aware that JH digs the hell out of those pans to get swatches like that lol. I'm not going to be glued to my computer on launch day but if it's still available by the weekend I might grab it.
DROOOOOOOOOOOL. I thought this was limited edition last year. So it's back now? Is it perm? My wallet is already screaming after my online shopping spree this morning. *sigh*
I went through a bag this weekend and found some blotting sheets that I had forgotten about. I'm usually a dry girl, but when the heat is over 90 degrees and it's humid AF outside, my nose will get shiny around 3pm. I just sat at my desk and used a few blotting sheets to remove the un-intended shine from my face and went through maybe 5 sheets. Is that a lot to use? I feel like I need a fresh sheet per area. Am I doing this wrong?
I just use coffee filters. You can put one on your entire face. #nativefloridian

Zabrena did a drugstore swimproof tutorial recently. In it, she mentioned a setting powder by Soap & Glory that she claims is humidity proof. I have an Ulta order on the way with it. I plan on giving it a thorough try out. I'll report back.

I've found that those super cheap tissues (brown, recycled) or school-issued bathroom paper towels do just as good a job of blotting oil without wiping away makeup as the $$ blotting papers. #teacherlife Save
I'm wear testing a new CC cream today. I picked up the Its Skin CC cream back when memebox was marking everything down as an alternative to my beloved Dr Jart BB. When I pumped it out on my hand and started applying it to my face, I was like..well shit, this isn't going to work. I finished slathering on what was on my hand and then went to go switch the laundry. In the 5 minutes I was gone, it totally changed and I couldn't even tell I had it on my face.
So.... we shall see how it looks at the end of the day, but so far, so good.

Urban Decay Heat is available for purchase if you're VIB Rouge for today only.
I ordered one for my BFF who lives in England because who knows when it will get there and she really wants to get her hands on it ASAP.
Now I'm thinking about getting one for myself. I feel like it's one of those palettes that I have to see in person first. I jumped the gun on Naked Smokey and I was disappointed when I got it so I don't want that to happen again.

I'm trying to be all gentle and kind to my curls, embrace them even. But I'm having a hard time picking up products. Everything I want to try is salon specific and my salon or stylist can't get. 😩

Serious question - how do you know when your mascara is gone? Does it eventually dry out? Throw it away at 6 months no matter what? Does it eventually just not come out? I've been using the same mascara tube nearly daily for 6 months, and I see no end in sight.
I was at JCPenny looking for a dress so stopped into Sephora to pickup a new brow pencil (Benefit goof proof) and ended up spending almost $150. Eek.
I picked up the new Tarte clay stick foundation and I really like it so far. We'll see how it wears all day, but it went on and blended like a dream and it feels nice on my skin.
I also got a Smashbox cream contour stick/pencil and I think it's going back. I tried it out yesterday and it didn't blend well. I didn't have time to use it this morning, so I'll give it another try. The girl at Sephora recommended it. Anyone have any other recommendations for a cream contour stick?
I'm looking for a new primer. I wanted to get a few samples to test out, but the poor girl yesterday was working alone and there were a few needy customers and a line. Any recommendations for primer?

Mine will start to get dry and flake off. Also, it makes my eyes itch when I use older tubes. I typically replace mine every 4-6 months. If there is a sale, or a new product I decide to try, sometimes it's sooner.

I'll use a mascara until it starts completely flaking off by the end of the day. Or I've had some that start taking a bunch of coats to build up and just don't look the same.

Same as pp's when it starts performing differently or smells funny i pitch it. I have a hard tI'm keeping track of when I opened things, so no clue how long that is. Too long most likely.
I've never used up a mascara, even with daily use. This is why I love minis...Doesn't feel so wasteful.

For me it's when it no longer goes on right, takes multiple applications, or get's flaky.

Mine tends to be drier or just seems like it's light on product. I get the small ones so every six months is good. For the mascara primer there was a noticeable difference in the product I was getting on my brush until I was hardly getting any out.

I've had this in my cart for quite a while. Let us know how it goes!
There's something weird going on with my makeup lately. It's just sliding right off my face. It's half gone by 2 pm, then mostly off by the evening. I haven't changed anything in my morning routine at all. My evening routine I'm playing with whatever moisturizers I happen to grab, but everything else is the same. It's more humid here the last few days, but nothing excessive and much milder temps than in my previous state. It's mostly coming off my nose and chin, then migrates to my cheeks. I'm using Lancôme tient idole and elf mineral primer. I do use the becca backlight primer too, but not as often, and I tend to mix the two together.
Has anyone had their makeup suddenly not work? Any found causes I might not be thinking of? I posted my routines in the skincare routine thread. The only big changes were added the Buffet and Azelic acid, but I've had those going for at least a month (two for the Buffet)
