I'm using Lancôme tient idole and elf mineral primer. I do use the becca backlight primer too, but not as often, and I tend to mix the two together.

Has anyone had their makeup suddenly not work? Any found causes I might not be thinking of? I posted my routines in the skincare routine thread. The only big changes were added the Buffet and Azelic acid, but I've had those going for at least a month (two for the Buffet)

Is the Backlight primer new? I found I had to apply it and let it sit for a moment till it got kind of tacky before I applied my foundation or else I was shinier than usual

It is. I put it on, then do my under eye concealer (which doesn't budge), then go into my foundation. So I wait, but not longer than patting some Shape tape on.

Try giving it a little longer before you go into your foundation routine and see what happens

Gah, this is when the store exclusives become annoying. I swatched Becca light chasers and Champagne flashes Bellini is stunning but of course it's a sephora exclusive. So now to decide if I feel like forking out full price for it. Sigh. I probably will.

I know. I keep going between that and the Modern Renaissance but I'm kind of over warm tones at the moment plus I can get MR during the Sephora sale later in the year too. I don't have any Mac shadows ether so I think that's the winner.

That palette is so pretty. But if you've never had Mac shadows before I wouldn't start with a palette. It's not their strong suit. They're individual shadows are awesome (they were one of my first higher end shadows I purchased years ago), but their palettes are usually lacking.

Good to know! I'll have to find some review videos. Temptalia lists some of the negatives about the palette but I still think this would be worth it for me. Cool tones work really well for me.

I got the coupon too. I have $225 in my cart, but I have to scale that down. A couple things are dupes for stuff I JUST bought at Sephora on Tuesday that I haven't even opened yet, so I'll return to Sephora and buy at Ulta with the 20% plus points. Most of the Sephora stuff was impulse and I was kicking my self for not waiting and buying at Ulta to get points. Now I'll definitely be returning it all.

I think I'm going to try the Becca primer. Which one does everyone like- the backlight or the firstlight? I'm thinking of going with the firstlight, since there's a gift with purchase of a deluxe backlight.

I also have some favorites and things to stockup on... Tarte Shapetape, a set of Real Technique beauty blender sponges, shampoo and conditioner, a few sheet masks.

I am way out of control. I made 2 Sephora orders last week (nothing big, a DE Littles (C and Firma), scrubber, Naked Ultimate Basics palette, a few other random things). Paulas Choice and then a Cult Beauty order...Emma Hardie and Oskia cleansers. I have enough cleansers but I think I have let Caroline Hirons "no foaming cleanser everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" thing stick in my brain. Got some Nugg masks and a Cerave hydrating cleanser to replace my FAB cleanser in the shower.

Oh and PC 2.5 benzoyl peroxide finally cleared up the pimples on my forehead (in like, 2 days) that nothing was touching. Now my skin is insanely dry. Hopefully the peeling will end soon, everything I read says about a week.

P.S. the Laneige Sleeping Lip Mask is legit. It stayed put and is pretty great. Gothamista got me to buy it and she was not wrong. $20 well spent.

I had birthday gift cards to Sephora, so I used them yesterday to grab a few items. Nothing terribly exciting. I also had some stuff in my Ulta cart because I wanted to take advantage of the extra points during my birthday month and the birthday $10 off coupon. I held off pulling the trigger yesterday though.

Glad I did since Ulta sent that 20% off coupon today haha! I split my order into two to best utilize the 20% off, and the remaining items got the $10 off coupon. Plus the extra points. Yay!

So I bought the Becca/Chrissy Teigen face pallete with my ulta coupon. I really think I have a problem when it comes to highlighters. I can't stop buying them. But it was so pretty... I also got a super soft it for ulta face brush and it cc cream for my mom. Both of those had 5x the points so now I'm 30 points away from 2k!

I always bring the Jaclyn Hill/Becca face pallete whenever I travel and now I have to decide between that and the Chrissy Teigen one. I might just bring both but gah, it's so silly. LOL. I really like the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea II as well.

A stranger (little old lady) came by my table at lunch and complimented me on my lipstick. It made my day. So for those that aren't a big fan of reds during the work week, I say rock reds ladies! This has happened before a couple of random times, usually when I'm wearing red lipstick.

I already ahve one!  I forget what the name of the one I have is - it's mostly corals.  I've wanted the flame one for a while, but I've also got a makeup revolution blush palette in my cart, and there might be a limit on how much blush I really need in one haul. 

Also I sstill need to cut things out.  My cart is at $200 and I told my BFF that since she's been using my account # for the past year to help keep me platinum since I share my coupons, about $40 worth of my $125 is hers.  she's going to email me what she wants....it's going to be a painful culling process of this cart.
