Probably staying inside during the eclipse today. We get almost two full minutes of totality, but I don't trust the free glasses we got now that I'm starting to see a bunch of the local stores recalling theirs at the last minute for safety concerns. I'm just working today, and hoping that I don't lose internet or phone service at any point.
I'm meeting up with some friends on Thursday evening.
Therapy appointment on Friday.
MCGREGOR VS MAYWEATHER on Saturday! Still trying to figure out where we're going to watch the fight, because we really don't want to spend $90 to order the PPV ourselves.
H works Sat/Sun, so no other weekend plans at this point.
Another crazy busy week here. I'm starting to miss my H between all the coming and going opposite directions. We can't really afford a babysitter right now so I think I'll suggest a 1st and 3rd Friday at home date schedule for the school year to make sure we stay connected.
I didn't finish last week's to do list so unfortunately I'll have to carry that over. Gonna be a coffee week.
amaranth - I've been thinking about getting a coffee maker. We don't have one, but I feel like I've had a lot of mornings lately where I've thought that some caffeine would be reeeeeeally nice. lol.
If I can get DS down for his nap in time, I'll probably try to catch the eclipse. We're not in the path of totality, but we should be at like 98% or something close to 100.
I have a dryer repair person coming Thursday. Of course last week after we got home from staying at the IL's while painting was going on, our dryer didn't work. I just hope it's a fairly inexpensive fix.
wineandcheese - My boss is convinced that I need a Nespresso. I'm keeping an eye out for sales, though. Maybe I'll try to get one on Black Friday or something.
katespade We don't have a coffee maker either. Neither H or I drink coffee, so it would never get used.
ewall Thanks! I went to my parents' house on Saturday to do a load of underwear stuff, and we've been managing the rest of our stuff with the drying rack. It's kind of made me want a clothesline outside, lol.
Okay, I will admit, the eclipse was pretty cool. We went ahead and used our glasses while we sat outside for around 10 minutes, including the two minutes of 100% totality.
And now a bunch of idiots are setting off fireworks, even though we currently have a complete fire ban. As in, it's so dry that lawn mowers have been starting brush fires here. But sure, fireworks sound like a GREAT idea. Ugh.
amaranth- sorry you and your DH are so busy and not having enough time together. I like your idea of at home dates being scheduled...I might use that here as well. Good luck accomplishing your to do list- you've got this!
katespade- I don't know how you survive without a coffee maker! We have a keurig now but have always had some sort of coffee maker. It's the first thing I do in the mornings and my main motivation to get out of bed! I am a much better person once I have had my coffee! Oh, and glad you enjoyed the eclipse!!
No rea plans this week, which is nice! We went on a long walk before naps today and my dad came over to drop off a Starbucks! It's been a hard day here (L up early and C being a toddler mess) so he is basically a godsend today (well every day but even more so today!)!!
Just as I suspected, I'm finally getting the hang of parenting my two kids and not lose my shit on a daily basis and it's time to go back to work. DS is really getting a personality and is such a happy baby. Trying to make the most of these last few weeks!
We are stuck home tomorrow waiting for a fencing estimate, but B and I might swim while we wait. It's supposed to be beautiful the rest of the week so I hope to hit up the park at least once.
Friday we are going to my parents because my family from North Carolina is visiting. We only see them once every few years so it's a big deal. I'm anxious about the sleeping arrangements while we're there (all 4 of us in one room) but I'll just expect the worst lol.
Saturday and Sunday we have a lot of yard work and little house projects to do in preparation for B's third birthday party next weekend.

H has been working 8 am-midnight durung the week for the past 2 weeks and has had to put in weekend time too. This leaves me to solo parent all evening and make our now low carb dinners (H started a low carb diet 4 weeks ago). I.am.tired.
Today I decided to go to my dance class on a different day than I had been. I ended up staying for a second class. It was such a needed break. DS was still up when I got home because H was on a phone call he couldnt get off of. DS went down easily and I have laundry being washed for tomorrow and will shower and go to bed.
DS has his check up this week but otherwise we dont have big plans.

katespade no coffee maker?!? How do you survive?!?
Sending lots of healing vibes to all the sick babies.
Watched the eclipse today, I made my own pinhole projector so that was fun.
No big plans the rest of the week except work stuff. Going on a float trip down the local river on Saturday and the going to try and find someplace to watch the fight.
rockinrobyn , luv2rn4fun - I just don't drink coffee very often! And when I do, it's something like a latte or a mocha. I've always gotten my caffeine from soda. Now that I'm not drinking soda and I'm working out so much more, I'm thinking I may need to start figuring out a new caffeine source. lol.
My husband wants to get an espresso machine for our home to make latte's, etc. Does the Ninja do that, or do any of you have one you recommend that does? There are so many!
katespade- DH and I always went to a pub for appies and drinks to watch the fights when we first started dating. We don't watch much anymore though. I thought it was neat too. DH called me and he sounded like a kid in a candy store it was cute.
amaranth- date nights in is a great idea. DH an I need something like that.
tacocat- I hope your dryer isn't too expensive to fix.
Well DH and I decided to put in the offer on the place we liked. (The one that we knew would have multiple offers) They only ended up with one other offer as 2 people backed out at the last minute, but they ACCEPTED our offer!! I am so excited, but now we have to figure out the last few things for financing as the mortgage broker basically did all the paper work for it and then left us to fend for our selves. (Basically we are porting our mortgage and we did not know that we had to go through our bank for this, we thought we could us our broker and he told us at the last minute that we have to go through the bank so we have to start all over again. So hopefully it works out.
awick14 congrats on the house!!! I hope you can get the financing figured out quickly. Would you tell us about the house?
It's a 3 bed 1 bath single level town house. (1150 sq ft) Small fenced yard. The strata has a gym with some newer treadmills and such, a pool and a hot tub as well.
