GD test done, the drink wasn't that bad at all - took me less than a minute to drink it all. Maybe it's a sign that I drink too many sweet juices.
Next OB appointment is in 3 weeks, Dr said everything was fine but mentioned that since we did IVF they like to do an extra ultrasound around week 34 which sent me into a panic lol. Usually here, after the anatomy scan if there are no complications you don't have any other ultrasounds so I wasn't expecting one more. Even though she mentioned its the clinics standard for IVF babies and that nothing is wrong, I am still slightly freaking out.
Not baby related, but I just sent my tenants a letter increasing the rent and I feel sick to my stomach. They have been there 5 years and we only raised it once $25. This time was $75, which I try to tell myself still isn't that outrageous. But it makes me feel icky and uncomfortable. We were not cut out to be landlords.
Chrysanthemum, what kind of sippy cup are you using? pandora89, I did not think the drink was that bad either. I finished it quickly and passed the test with flying colors. Have you gotten your results back? Also, do not worry about the extra ultrasound--consider it a bonus! mpc, Jealous that she slept through the night!
S had his 6 month check up today and is running a slight fever so they couldn't do his shots. Which just means I need to go back again in a week. Inconvenient to miss this much work.
I also just got a call from an old friend who had a miscarriage at 12 weeks. I missed the call because I am at work but will call her shortly. I feel awful.
We are still here in the hospital. Hopefully tomorrow we can go home, but no one has guaranteed that yet. It’s just keeping an eye on him to see how he’s doing.
We’re calling Friday the day we make the decision on whether we have to push out finalization. Sigh.

I hope you don’t get to that point oneslybookworm! Lots of positive thoughts for you guys!
shauni27, We’ve tried a few but are having the most luck with the Nuby soft spout ones. We’ve tried straw ones and I bought those Munchkin 360 cups recently. And a camelback water bottle. We’re currently trying feeding him most of his WCM bottle in a bottle and then the last ounce in a sippy. One of my next strategies might involve juice just to entice the kid a little more! Or Frappuccino, right loira?!?
Chrysanthemum, my DS took milk in a bottle til about 17 or 18 months. We tried to get him to switch to a cup at a year and it was a huge battle. We gave up and just decided to let him have the bottles a little longer. Then sometime around 17 months his daycare teacher told us he stole his friend's cup and was drinking their milk. We switched him to cups that night, no issues, and never looked back. I know it's longer than they say you're supposed to allow bottles, but it made it so much easier to wait til he was ready. My DD, on the other hand, she is 9 months and a straw cup pro. We'll see what she does when we start putting milk in instead of water but for now she would slam an entire cupful of water if we let her.
I hope you don’t get to that point oneslybookworm ! Lots of positive thoughts for you guys!

Have you tried the take and toss cups (no straw)? S would only use those in the beginning and now will use other cups and FINALLY figured out the straw thing 2 weeks ago!
pandora89, thanks for thinking of me! They got about the same measurements, so he's about 2 weeks behind. The MFM didn't seem too terribly concerned. Said it's more than likely a placenta issue since I have complete previa and his abdomen is measuring a bit smaller. But blood flow through the cord is normal and fluid is normal. He just wants to monitor me closely. I go back for another scan in 3 weeks. I still have my NST/BPP on Friday with my OB. Not sure if she's still going to want me to come in twice a week still. I'll find out Friday.

We love the take n toss ones too. We have the sippy and the straw. E figured out the straw when we started giving him ones that didn't have a valve, so the take n toss straw cups, and the Thermos Foogos.

We got some 3D images though and he's so cute!
That's great! The MFMs I work with are stellar, and my general thought process is to not get worried until these people get worried.
All of the appointments will end up being annoying, but you will be able to see and hear your baby on a regular basis!
Chrysanthemum- dd just started acting drinking from a sippy cup between 12-12.5 months. One day she just got it. (She also still doesn’t do the puréed food pouches well either)
mpc- we did a few years as landlords and it didn’t work out well for us. It’s hard.
konapoppy, checking in to see how things are going with you! I’ve been thinking of you, but it’s such a busy time when you go back that I wanted to give you space. ❤️
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
J is covered in a bizarre purple dotted rash. It started out red a d faded to purple and now has spread. It looks so bad. We went to the doctor yesterday and she had no ckue. Was worried because it looked like it was under the skin and did a platelet count and bloodwork. Poor guy had to get stuck in the arm instead of a finger or foot stick. He screamed. Platelets came back normal, all but one test is back and normal so they think it's just a viral rash. I hope it goes away soon.

Thanks for checking in! I am doing okay- each day is a little better. I get to spend 30-45 minutes with the girls in the morning and an hour and a half at night (plus the MOTN lol). We had a good re org announced today that is helping my stress levels. Being a working mom is no joke.

Thanks for the take and toss suggestions, I’ll pick some up! awick14 , C can’t suck out of pouches either. He was considered a “disorganized sucker” as a newborn so maybe this is its second coming. Thanks for the commiseration mpc, Poor J King26, how odd, I hope his spots go away soon!

I’m glad the reorg will be good and is helping stress! That’s great timing. It definitely takes time to get into the swing of things.

I'm selling some baby stuff on facebook marketplace and people are just so weird. Also, if you have a buyer, but haven't met up with them yet, do you take down the listing? I've had several more people express interest but I'm not meeting the buyer until this weekend. I don't want to take it down in case she wants to look at it again, but I'm sick of answering questions about it.

I keep it up and ignore any further questions until it's picked up.

Here people edit the post to say pending pick up. That way you have back up folksbit they know they might not get it.

We comment SPPU on the post if the item is "Sold, pending pick up". This way people can keep commenting interest in case the pick up doesn't go through so you know who the next person who was interested is. We only take down the post or mark it as sold once the pick up has been completed.
I think I felt either the baby's head or butt last night. I was in bed feeling my tummy and there was a round hard spot sticking out on one side. I woke H up to feel as well and he told me I shouldn't poke the baby because it might be his soft spot on his head LOL. I loved it.
I THINK we have decided on a name. It was my #1 choice and H took awhile to come around to it, but now that he's referring to the baby by the name I am not so sure anymore.
pandora89, it definitely feels weird to refer to baby by his name. DH finally agreed on my #1 choice, but when he actually calls him by his name, it feels strange. There's nothing else I like better, though. And we've told a bunch of people, so it's not changing now, lol.
