knx9211, I think 2 names starting with the same letter isn't necessarily "sibset" weird. But I'm also not the sort of person who worries if kids names go together. I feel like that's a very recent thing, and really not something anyone but the parents worry about. Nobody ever notices, unless you've got 4+ and they've all got names that start with the same letter and you're on a reality show. I think people should put more effort into making sure their kids don't have initials that spell rude words. Or there's actually a CBC reporter named Anita Bath. I am not even joking! What were her parents thinking?

And omg the spelling a word with the initials. H was obsessed with not spelling anything, or having it match an acronym, like OCD.

Haha my initials with my maiden name were LAW and I became a lawyer. Coincidence? ...probably.

My son's first and middle initial are BJ.... I was aware before we settled on that and it made me a little nervous but the people I confided in were like it'll be fine! don't worry! So, uh, sorry kid, hope it's not a problem for you

OK, probably most of you know my kids' names anyway, so I'll share. My son in Ben, my daughter's name starts with E. Some of my favorite girl names if we had a third kid start with N. But that would be kind of ridiculous to have kids with the initials BEN right? So I have to eliminate any N names? blah.

Hello. Not sure if anyone remembers me since I haven’t posted much since DS was born 17 months ago. He started daycare and I went back to work two weeks ago and I seem to have more time to read/post now. I’m really happy to see pregnancies/babies from a few posters I recognize!!

We actually rearranged the order of A’s name to make it spell something. No way would we have changed the actual names (unless they would have spelled something truely offensive) but the order yes. We had initially placed them so that his initials would have been AATT but then DH realized it could spell ATAT and as a Star Wars fan he insisted. And I actually think his full name flows better this way

I’m good and we are good. A little tired since DS is still not a great sleeper. But except for the sleep issue he is the best little boy. Always happy and smiley and very social. He just started daycare and they spend so much time outside and he loves it!!

Yes, still on the island! My H is teaching his last semester in Texas, and he'll be moving up here permanently in late May. It just seemed foolish to go through the hassle of getting my PR for somewhere I didn't want to live for more than 3-4 years. And other lifestyle preferences, plus the fact that (sorry everyone) they are coo coo bonkers in the US right now helped make the decision for me. But as A's gotten older, it's been much more difficult to be away from H. We're doing well otherwise, though.

Any plans for a trip out this way?

We actually spent all of September in Vancouver including a 5 day mini holiday in Parksville. We’re thinking of going to Canada again in the Summer, we will probably spend most time in Vancouver as usual and maybe we will finally be able to visit DH’s extended family in Ottawa/Papineau/Toronto.
