I don't understand why they keep harping on who paid for the dossier. Fusion came out and said exactly who paid for the memo. They have the bank account transactions. It hasn't been secret at all, and they're (the GOP) acting like it's all a cover-up.
According to WSJ, the author of the inept Nunes memo is an attorney who bowls at the White House with the "Dons" and was the object of a federal judge's "Order on Ineptitude" two years ago. And by WSJ, I mean the Wall Street Journal, not the Onion. You can't make this stuff up.

DH has gone before the judge referenced many times. I LOVE him! The stories DH comes home with after a day in court are amazing. When the article was originally posted on twitter on, like, Thursday I knew who the judge was before I read the article. He is a gem! He can be a grumpy asshole but as long as you are straight with him he’s a good judge.
I just got a WaPo update - House Intelligence COmmittee voted to release the Dems 11 page rebuttal memo. Now Trump will have to sign off before it gets released.
You know he's not going to agree to release it, which just will make it look like he's hiding something huge.

I'm totally shocked they voted to release it; they are still Rep-majority, right?

OK. Hmmm. Am I being a pessimist for thinking it must not be that great then? Or maybe Nunes is fully confident in the already-released nothing-memo and the memos he has in the works?

I am not sure what to think. Maybe they think he will refuse to release it? But then it sounds like the Dems can request a full House vote to release it.

Which, with Ryan and the Freedom CockUS, that's unlikely to happen.
Yeah, I think they are counting on Trump not agreeing to release it. They also may be expecting the Dem one to be more redacted.
Also I think they accomplished what they wanted to accomplish. They muddied the waters and put out an FBI hit list. They know the Democratic one won't get as much attention, and that their base won't care what the Democrats have to say.
"Devin Nunes has a new target: Jonathan Winer, the Obama State Department’s special envoy to Libya, and longtime Senate aide to John Kerry. Winer received a memorandum from political activist Cody Shearer and passed it along to Christopher Steele, the former British intelligence official who had compiled his own dossier on Donald Trump."

I think this is it. It's what I told H earlier today. I don't think they care about this memo because they've already done what they needed to do. Now a Dem rebuttal just looks like we're all butt hurt and playing a blame game.
I'm lol'ing that this one is more than twice as long though.
Republican leaders are acknowledging that the FBI disclosed the political origins of a private dossier the bureau cited in an application to surveil former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, undermining a controversial GOP memo released Friday and fueling Democratic demands to declassify more information about the bureau’s actions.
