Today I wore Make lipstick in Taffy.  I got it in one of my Birchboxes.  I think I've had it too long, but I also don't love it.  First confirmed toss of the challenge for me!

UD Sheer Ladyflower.  It is one of my favourites as it's so comfy, though it doesn't last long.

Tapatalk seems to be down more than it works these days.

Anyhoo this challenge has been good because it is forcing me to use a different lipstick every day instead of having a rotation of my favorites. I’m wearing Smashbox Berry Ombré today. It’s a gimmick, initial application is very fun and gives a nice ombré but that lasts about a minute and it all blends together. Longevity is below average, especially for the price. I’ll decide if I am keeping by the end of the day. Right now I am heavily leaning towards toss.

BUT I think it is a perfect bite violet dupe as it isn't as blue as bittersweet. At least that is what I am currently telling myself.

I'm super behind on pictures. I'm taking them, I'm just not posting them.

Today I had my first "Not even leaving the house in this"
Bite multistick in Cashew. It makes me look like a zombie. I left it on while I finished getting ready despite the initial "oh hell no", but when I glanced in the mirror on the way out I just couldn't deal. It looks turrible on me. Into the giveaway pile it goes.

Switched to bite lychee. Which I've always thought also looked pretty dead on me, but compared to cashew is a lovely soft nude. LOL I might spin over to musk (it's one of the mini doubles) when I reapply.

Finally wore my MAC Russian Red the other day. LOVE. It held up pretty well too.

I had set up two bins at my sink - one with colors yet to be worn, and one for the ones I already wore. The already wore bin is nearly empty because every single one of those lipsticks is either on my desk at work or in my bag. It's a sickness.

Today is a double-ended lipstick from Bite that I need to toss since it smells off. I don’t think the color really suits me anyways.

The colors are Musk and Revina (something like that, it’s long discontinued). I usually wear them mixed together (last picture) but photographed them separately too.

My lips are a miss today after wearing KVD liquid lip in Mother. I tossed it, it dried my lips out so bad they hurt. The color is amazing though.

I'm wearing YSL lip oil in cherry today. Always a favorite and feels great after yesterday.

kittycatlove , When I picked up that gloss, I had never used an ABH lip product, so I erroneously assumed that like a lot of dark MAC glosses, there would be an element of sheerness to it. I have several glosses from MAC that look basically black in the tube, but aren't opaque on the lips. Eh, whatever.

secretlyevil , I love that 9/19 lip. I might have to pick one up, and it looks like it might be a nice replacement for one of my JS lipcolors.

tiramisu, I know I have enough lip products to go through October. I'd be up for extending this. It's been very helpful.

Today is a twofer - Buxon Wildly Whipped Matte Lip Color in Centerfold - a very basic nude, longevity is decent, feels pretty nice overall. Topped it with bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Birthday Girl lip gloss. I love this combo and don't wear it enough. The lipgloss is "plumping" but it is thin and not sticky at all.

I’ve had two colors I’ve wiped off and refuses to wear out, but haven’t made myself throw out yet. And of course I’ve worn like 6 total, bc it’s rained all month and I feel like crap.

Today is a purchase I made because a MAC counter rep recommended it to me and I never wear it because it’s bubblegum pink. I need to rehome it.

Hooray for keeping it going!  I have so many to sort through still.  Today I wore a lipstick that I think has been discontinued, Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural in N9.  I really love it, of course.  Definitely keeping this one.

omg, i'm so failing at this. lol. i haven't even been able to open the board all week - craziness at work and super busy evenings at home. i worse mostly balms/glosses this week, will get on my phone and see what photos a remembered to snap and get them uploaded.

i'm definitely up for extending into october as well. considering i just had a box from UD show up on my doorstep with more of their liquid lipsticks in it!

It's my Mirabella LipLuster liner in Bashful with Arrow Boost color enhancing lip balm on top.
I wore that last night to my hockey social.

I tried a new lippy on Friday -it had been a Birchbox sample.  It was AWFUL. Patchy, didn't feel nice, etc.  CLE Melting Lip Powder in Red Cherry.  I'm going to try it in a different way tomorrow and if it works, then I'll use it. The colour is really pretty (more pink than red).

I like the color and formula. It reapplied well without having to remove it all and start fresh. Doesn’t give me butt lips. Definitely keeping.

Yesterday I wore Mac Sin.  It's matte and really dark, so i definitely need to wear lip balm under it and apply carefully.  I forgot how I usually apply when i put it on last night.  Even though it's a higher-maintenance lip color, I'm keeping it.

Smashbox Legendary Lipstick in Posy Pink. Meh. I have pinpointed my downfall - holiday or promotional sets. I need to stop buying them and just get one lipstick that I will really reach for.

Today's lips-only for lip challenge look is Milani Power Lip in Raspberry Tarte. These remain a bit tacky. The staying power is really nice though especially for a non-matte. I have three different colors. They now bleed on me without a lip liner (stupid aging!). I'm not sure if all of these are discontinued or just my beloved coral one.

9/24 - Part II

So I forgot that I am painting a wine glass tonight  . I am now showered and dressed, full makeup. Second lip for the day is UD's liquid lipstick in amulet. I got it as a mini for some reason. It's a pretty color, UD's vice liquid lipstick is pretty nice feeling. I haven't worn this in a long time so I can't remember if this formula gets cakey which I hate about liquid lipsticks. I guess time will tell. If it doesn't, I need to make sure this is in my regular rotation. I like it on me a lot.

Today is Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie lipstick in Speak Your Mind.  A great name for a lipstick for me, but it's much lighter and pinker than I usually wear.  It's been comfortable so far, I'm debating whether or not I want to keep it.
