OMG why am I having such difficulty finding kids masks? I have plenty for DD but having a harder time with DS. I thought I could pick up some from Old Navy, but they had zero kids masks at our local store. WTF?!? They used have a whole huge display of them. I'm seriously pissed.
I guess I'll go back to the etsy store that we ordered DD from. I tried Amazon but there are so many options and I have no idea if they fit.
Any other places I should look?
Old Navy had these "active" ones for both kids and adults that I randomly grabbed a pack of several months ago. They're awesome and fit my kid so well! They don't have them anymore and I am really annoyed. You'd think we'd have enough masks by now, but I feel like with each purchase, I just got better at figuring out what did and didn't work well for each of my kids. I want more of these!
According to our district’s guidelines, the teacher did nothing wrong.
I, of course, have another opinion.
I wonder how many people will attempt lawsuits when children get Covid in schools. I’m not typically one to think that way, but if one of my children were to get seriously ill from Covid because the state is failing to provide a safe educational environment, I guarantee I’d be researching whether I had a leg to stand on.
I've had this same thought. I'm not a litigious person by nature, but our district chose not to implement a mask mandate (thankfully the county health department instituted one), but I was honestly pondering to myself if I could successfully sue the district for knowingly putting my child at risk of serious illness due to their failure to implement reasonable measures to prevent it.
It’s a fair question. For us to use the neighborhood pool this year we had to sign a hold harmless Covid waiver. For school? Eh 2019. I would seriously see what options we had. So reckless.

From my limited experience this is most likely to happen when there is an extensive stay in the hospital resulting in $$$$ medical bills. Certainly a reason to sue a school district for negligence for thousands or millions in medical bills.
Is there anywhere reputable online to order regular paper masks (the 3 ply) in adult or kid sizes? DS wants to go the route instead of cloth this year.
Vida masks or Kollecte. I already received my vida order. Unfortunately the size small are too big for my DS(5). I'm waiting on the Kollecte ones so I can't comment on their fit. The ones I ordered are 4 ply, fyi.

I ordered some some from here a couple weeks ago when they had a 30% discount. I got the kids size for myself since I have a small face and they seem good quality.

Yep. Those were the ones I was looking for DS. He loves them. I ended up finding some at Target. But the selection was seriously limited. I got the last two kid masks available that didn't have kiddie cartoon characters on them. All the kids masks seem to be for younger kids as opposed to the older kid range. Maybe because they figure they will be vaccinated. DS is 11 so he's too old for little kid masks, too young to get vaccinated, and too small to fit most adult masks. Very frustrating.
