So where are these Nazis? There aren't any, right? The Russians are the "Nazis", aren't they? I'm confused. Maybe I don't know what Putin means by Nazis, because every time I hear this propoganda, I start thinking this:

@ajl his MO seems to be to accuse other people of doing what he is actually doing. So he is going in and trying to kill a Jewish president and attacking Jewish memorials while declaring that the victims are the Nazis. Similarly, he said that chemical warfare on Russian troops was beginning when they were the ones doing the actual chemical warfare. (I don’t have a link, it was a story I saw on @sharonsaysso).

AJL, from what I've read about Russia's "denazification" is that Nazis are defined as anyone who is anti-Russia.

I don’t think she ever said that they were actually participating in chemical warfare. She just pointed out that they have a history of accusing the other side of things they’re actually doing…and they are accusing others of preparing for chemical warfare. That implies that we should be on alert for the possibility of them doing so, not actually saying that they had already done it.

Ukraine claims that they hit it with a missile but it's also possible it was a fire that caused some munitions to explode. Either way, it's a big blow to Russian morale.

This is such a nightmare. There seems to be no end in sight.

Eurovision singing competition is this weekend. Random thought to add to the thread but it will be interesting to see

I think Russia is just making empty threats for the time being, TBH.  They're already stretched thin in Ukraine as it is, I very much doubt that they have the resources to take any action towards Finland right now.

Bumping this for the developments as a result of Russia’s disastrous conscription efforts. NYT reported that an estimated 261,000 men have fled Russia within the last week. Russia appears to be targeting ethnic minorities and/or people in far-flung parts of the country, presumably to keep the rich Russian men from having to serve and keeping Putin’s base in Moscow and St. Petersburg happy.
