My wireless printer hasn't worked since we changed internet providers/routers (city utility broadband internet, huzzah!). The internet was, surprisingly, no help. The manufacturers website was no help. I tried connecting with a cable and that didn't work. Basically I figured I now had a really expensive block of junk in my house.
However, I reeeeeaaaally needed to print something today so I button mashed until I got to a sub menu of a sub menu and was able to input data to get the damn thing working again. I'm so HAPPY that I got it to work.
I am impressed! The same thing happened to our printer and even after downloading the latest drivers I have not been able to get it to work.
Printing out crochet patterns at FedEx or Office Depot is expensive 😵
do you have a library nearby? mine has printing for free for the first like 5? 10? pages, and then much cheaper than fedex after that.
Two of my employees were in a zoom office hours for faculty, When a completely naked man jerking off entered the room. We had appropriate but clearly not fool proof security in place (we work for IT so not completely clueless)
So that’s what my afternoon was - contacting zoom to get the ip blocked, HR and legal, apologizing profusely to my team members who are not traumatized but it’s still not ok.
What the fuck dude!!! Also we have your IP address and video. Damn you for making us feel uncertain in our workspace.

I fixed the washing machine at my BFF's rental today. It wouldn't drain/spin which google told me was the lid switch. Sure enough it was, BUT finding the connector to the wiring in the dishwasher was impossible so I had to order a whole new one. Even with that it was $30 in parts and about an hour of time.
I'm participating in a research project that's looking at alcohol and cannabis use and how it effects the gut biome. They're apparently having a real hard time getting women participants, so they were happy when I volunteered.
So I’ve been in my new position since January. And on the one hand, it’s so much less pressure. Which was so needed. On the other, it’s just full of stupid frustrations and conflicted info.
Also, I have a slow leak in my tire. We filled it up, it held for a week and was low again. We filled it up again and we’re going to take it in to get patched, but it’s held for 2 days (with no driving), so H canceled the appointment he asked me to make. And I have to drive 60 miles r/t tomorrow.

Could you elaborate on what you did? My parents are dealing with this and I have been trying to help troubleshoot from afar but it is not working.

I went to the wireless setup menu, and then the WPA menu, and then another sub menu and then it asked for my wireless password which I manually typed in. I figured the WPA submenus were where I needed to be because that's the channel password encryption.

Can you send info on the study or post it here if they are looking for additional volunteers?
I just finished a phone bank, my first one. It was not very successful, with lots of hangups. Ended with a call asking for Melvin, and the sweet woman said, "He's been dead for 30 years or more." LOLsigh.
