My maternal grandma was a cat lady after she retired, and my favorite of all of her cats was an orange and white cat. He was very smart and very sweet.

My orange boy is my favorite. He lays on me every night when I get in bed, tucks his head under my chin, and purrs. I wish I could figure out how to share a photo.

This post is making me so sad. I lost my orange kitty last August. Pumpkin was such a cuddly love bug and he loved his bonded brother Simon Meowell. He was the sweetest cat.

My mom wasn’t a fan and passed that on to us? There’s a old wives tale that cats will snuff the life out of a baby, so maybe that has something to do with it? So, now I’m convinced any cat is going to jump on my head and claw at my eyes…which I know is a completely rational line of thinking 🙄. My cat loving in-laws think I’m ridiculous and give me crap whenever possible.

It's that movie Cat's Eye. They blamed the cat, but it was really a Troll in the wall!

I have been drinking, and agree on all points.

This even though my 25lb orange boy just this week figured out how to knock over the automatic feeder and eat himself sick.

Yes!  I have been a mom to a lot of animals: dog, cats, guinea pigs, fish, etc. Cats beat them all.  I never want to live without a cat.

I’m so glad I opened this thread today. I needed all this Kitty love ❤️ my 2 year old has the flu, and my pup (8) got put on hospice care today.

Agree 100%. I love my child, husband and dog, but ask anyone who my favorite in the house is and it’s my cat Joey. He’s my soulmate lol. He’s that cat who sways the cat haters when they come over. I could never not have a cat in my home.

Wholeheartedly agree! Our cat is just the sweetest little girl. She puts her head on my shoulder in bed every night while I read and purrs so loudly. Then she moves over to H and nestles in with him for the night.  They just love you so much.

And another one, because I'll never forget my orange boi. Samara, when she was young and her coat hadn't darkened (though you can see and admire her tabby tail). And her big brother, my beloved, much-missed Tavi, the only brother Samara ever loved. She's now stuck with two other brothers but they are horrible and smelly and yucky. Just ask her.

It's hard to see Tavi's M because of the white on his face and the angle, but he did have it. And he was glorious.
