I was just contemplating what their end game was. And, it’s not.

It's hard for me to imagine a path to victory for McCarthy. There's more than 5 GOP members who would be happy to just...not have a House of Representatives for two years. They fundamentally do not believe in government (except of course to oppress people with uteruses, LGBTQ+ people, minorities, etc). There's nothing you can offer them.

IDK if McCarthy was some sort of mastermind he'd get 4 members to vote for Jeffries and threaten these legislative terrorists with a D speaker, and tell them on the next round they will wind up with a Democratic speaker if they don't change their vote.
