We were predicted to get a foot and a half of snow between today and tomorrow (after we already had some snow yesterday). I think it's gone down a bit but still supposed to be a lot!
9.5" of snow at my house in Salt Lake City, and according to social media we're on the very low end of snow totals for the valley. I'm seeing 2+ feet twenty minutes south of us.

Yup. Down in San Diego we had the wind event that finally seems to be quieting a bit. It knocked out our power last night, which I learned when it came back on and all of our lights turned in in the middle of the night.
It hailed this morning.
Tomorrow it starts raining.

A couple days ago, it was mid 50’s here in Michigan. Today we’re getting freezing rain. School was cancelled today and we just got the call that it will be cancelled tomorrow as well.

NYC hasn’t had any winter minus two brutally cold days and one day with a dusting that ended our snow drought, barely (it melted like two hours later). Nutty indeed. Stay safe everyone!
My parents and grandma are without power after a huge ice storm yesterday. We are far enough south that we just got a deluge of rain. They're saying they may not have power restored until Sat. so I hope they all just head to a hotel. It's so cold.

That was our prediction too, but looking outside right now, it looks more like we've got 6-8".
Rain was supposed to start early this morning, but nothing yet.
But we just had a really small earthquake. I was awake but likely wouldn’t have felt it if I wasn’t. I looked to see where it was. Literally right under my mom’s house.
@@ I’m glad the rain hasn’t started yet because they teen sleeps at his dad’s 30 minutes away on Wednesdays and commutes from there to school on the LA freeways. He’s a good driver but has only had his license six months so I’m not a fan of him driving the 405 in bad rain. @@
It was like 65 on Monday and then today was kind of cold but tomorrow we will hit 80. In February. Wtf?!?
Right?! 75-80 today, and a chance of snow Saturday. WTF?! But, it’ll go like all the other chances of snow we’ve had all year.
I lost a couple plants in that super cold snap in early December. But, you know, nothing reasonably winter-ish since then. If I’m losing plants, I want snow!!

There was frost on my deck this morning but it’s going to hit 80 today. Make it make sense! (I am excited to get outside today though. I need some vitamin D).

That was a wild thing to wake up to this morning. I have only been here a year - has hail happened here before? I was so disoriented!

We've gotten around 8". Not too far from my parents had reports of 18". I like to check the road reports and cameras and the roads looked terrible this morning when I checked. Thankful I don't need to go anywhere!

It has! Probably about once every year or two - so definitely not common.

Basically same here. Literally one suburb south of me has 18". We have about 8". *Maybe* 9".
I have some friends who live in Portland, OR and they're getting so much snow. It looks bananas.
It's crazy within crazy here in the Portland area. We got 10-12" at our house yesterday, but in some suburbs, there's absolutely nothing. It's typical for different parts of the metro area to differ somewhat due to weather-generating/weather-altering terrain features around the area, but for some parts of the city to get a foot or more of snow--the industrial, concrete version--while other parts of the same metro area get NOTHING...that's weird.
this winter has been so weird. Every weekend it's been in the 50s, sometimes it drops in the week (like today it's 30 something) but every single weekend it's so nice out. I love it but know it's not normal.
