I had a really good check-up with my doctor last Friday. My A1C continued to drop & my fasting number was perfect. I was down 4 lbs since last appt which surprised me. My BP was good!
However, she wants to switch me from Ozempic to Mounjaro to see if that will help kick-start more weight loss. Although, the Ozempic seems to be helping my A1C numbers so I hope Mounjaro keeps up in that regard. I guess I should do a little more research on it before I start.
What I've been seeing lately is that Mounjaro/Zepbound is more effective than Ozempic/Wegovy at least when it comes to weight loss numbers.

Is anyone here on Zepbound? Any insight as to whether it is still hard to find any/all the doses?
My insurance approved Zepbound but not other tirzepatide brands, and my Dr. tried to switch me to it last spring, but I ended up not being able to get it after a while, went a few weeks on nothing, then asked to be switched back to Wegovy. I gained 5 lbs during this, and though I've been on the Wegovy again for months, I haven't lost anything. I have my Dr. appt. next week, and I'm trying to decide if I want to ask to try Zepbound again. My Dr. is leaving the practice, and they haven't replaced her yet, so this is my last appt. with her and I don't have another one lined up yet, so if Zepbound is at all still hard to get it's probably not a good idea to switch right now. But if all doses are available, she could prescribe it and the nurses could handle sending in the new doses probably.

I am on Zepbound. I have had no problems getting the 2.5mg and 5mg doses through Amazon pharmacy.

I am on 7.5 of Zepbound and get it through Walgreens. Only issue I’ve had is when it’s time to refill (since I started 5) I get a message it’s out of stock and delayed, but the longest I’ve had to wait is 2 days.

I am and haven’t had any issues BUT it’s only bc of timing luck. I get 3months supply from express scripts. I see my doctor tomorrow and even though I have 8 more pens left I’m going to ask him to go up to the next dose bc at times it’s taken 4-6 weeks to be filled. So I always get a refill before I need it.

After thinking about this for the past year, I got a prescription from my doctor yesterday. She wrote it for wegovy or ozempic, said either would be fine and I am just waiting to see if either is covered by my insurance. I assume neither will be approved and I’ll be paying out of pocket. Is there any reason to choose one over the other? They look about the same price per dose.

Moving up to 7.5 on Tuesday. Excited to hopefully see some more progress but nervous about getting lows especially since we are traveling next weekend. I have lost about 20lb (was on 2.5 for a few months and have been on 5 for 3).

I think I’m moving up after I finish this month. I’ve stalled and then gained.

Wegovy has something in it that is supposed to specifically help with weight loss (thought not as much as the tirzepatide meds) and Ozempic doesn't, it's mainly supposed to help with diabetes/A1C. So it depends on your goals I guess...are you trying to lower A1C and control diabetes, or trying to lose weight, or both? I started on Ozempic but didn't lose weight on it so switched to Wegovy shortly after.

This is not true.
Ozempic and Wegovy are the exact same medication, just branded differently for marketing.
Unless you get the medication from a compounding company that adds something like B12 or sermorelin or something else.

Oh, whoops...it's been a while since I started so sorry for spreading incorrect information! Maybe it's that Wegovy is available in higher doses (at least the brand name of it compared to Ozempic)? There was a reason my Dr. switched me from Ozempic to Wegovy to have better luck with weight loss.

Weight loss, primarily. My A1C is 5.9 so still in the (high) normal range.
Have y'all just quit caffeine? I can't stomach a whole cup of coffee in the morning, but I also hate that I'm crashing without a little caffeine.
I have cut way back. I drink a few sips (maybe 4oz) before I workout in the am, and then one cup after. Probably 12oz total, whereas I was drinking closer to 20 most days.

I am way more sensitive to it, but im committed to maintaining my caffeine consumption 😆. Ive found that i just need to not have an empty stomach. So i have a little food with it and im fine. And i space it out- i don't down multiple cups in quick succession, i have like one every 60-90 minutes.
I reached my goal weight. I spoke to my doctor and will try taking 1.0 every 10 days to start and see how it goes. I am not in a huge rush to completely go off of it, but I don’t want to lose more weight. I guess we will see how it goes. If I go off she wants me to take .5 for a month and .25 for a month before stopping.

No issue getting 2.5 or 5. I go through Walgreens. Sometimes it’s not in stock, but they can get it within a day or two.
I’m hoping to move up to 7.5 soon, so hopefully it will also be readily available.
Sized down pants today for the second time. My belly is getting very squishy and kinda just weird. I need a bigger waist size in pants than hips bc of it. Officially down 69 pounds!

I never really had a weight loss goal; if anything, Dr. put me on Mounjaro because my Trulicity that I was on for Type 2 was no longer being covered under my insurance. I stayed on the equivalent dosage for quite a while, however they finally titrated me up about 4 months ago. Since moving up, I have lost 30 lbs and I think I need to get them to start backing down. I am actually being told that I am too skinny.
Background: In 2003 I had WLS. I weighed 298 lbs at the time. At my lowest after surgery was 155lbs. I have fluctuated since that surgery and about a year ago between 175 to 199. When I titrated up and I am now 146 lbs.

Every 10 days at 1.0 has been working. I have more of an appetite so I am not losing weight, but not gaining either. The only thing I don’t like is the hair loss. It’s not terrible, but hoping it will stop soon since I am no longer losing weight.

I've been using the Hair Growth biotin supplement at Costco (it has 10,000mg of biotin and a couple other ingredients) and it has helped me a lot.
