The transcription of Stormy’s testimony is 😩🤢🤮. I feel so bad for her. The power imbalance was so clear. And this isn’t about what happened - it’s about the efforts to bury it - but OMFG. Awful.

When I think of the hundreds of powerful men, with entire teams hired and paid to support them, both personally and professionally,
(and their office) that have withered or coward because of a tweet or a hint of criticism by the orange man - compared to Stormy Daniels.

Really makes me wonder about who has integrity and who doesn’t.

I interpreted it as the judge was trying to keep the testimony focused on the issues the trial is about, the defense wasn’t objecting enough at first and they later tried to get a mistrial based on the testimony because how can you “unring a bell.” The judge said he’ll give jury instruction about the testimony but there’s not grounds for a mistrial and he told the defense they could have been objecting more, so they are responsible for what the jury heard too. Speculation is they are throwing out mistrial so they can use it for an appeal if they lose.

Having recently binged a whole lot of original L&O, I have no faith in anyone. Not in judges, not in DAs, not in defeense. 

I truly believe you cannot unring that bell. And anyone who is on the jury is anyone either smart enough to lie well or dumb enough to not know about what happened. This does not fill me with confidence. I can only hope that the liars are the ones wanting to bury this POS.

I recluctantly agree that outside criminal activities like jan 6 involvement shouldn't be part of this.

Fuck me if this is mistrial and then continues on indeftinately when he falsely claims he won again. Let him choose the dog killer to kill his own campaign.

So many things we can never unhear 🤮 He never asked her to keep quiet or sign an NDA until the election was imminent even though this happened years before. The prosecution is trying to establish why the hush money was needed during the election and how damaging the story would be as a motive for the illegal activities that followed. There was no need to secretly route the money to keep things from his wife since she wouldn’t see the details of his business records. Proving it was related to the election is key. The story sounded straight out of Harvey Weinstein’s playbook which speaks a lot to his character so this testimony is damaging to a lot more than the trial.

I’m really hoping Barron is a rebellious 18 year old who goes rogue and tells all about the family. I was so disappointed when I heard he was going to be a delegate at the Republican Convention, but hopeful when Melania declined on his behalf because of previous commitments. He probably didn’t even know about it before it was announced. I doubt it will happen because he’s young, probably brainwashed, wouldn’t want to lose access to their money or get his mom in trouble (I’m sure there’s a $$$ contract in place for her silence - she’s barely even playing along with the charade anymore). The R convention would be a perfect time for him to go live or make a tik tok about how he didn’t have plans but he’s not voting for his dad or any R’s and spill all the tea.

Personal gain - money, power, influence. The reason her parents are here in the States is because Trump used his money/influence to bring them over. She's gained a LOT being married to him. As is, she hardly ever sees him now, so she gets everything without having to get orange foundation on her fingers.

It makes me so mad seeing state politicians there. Like, how about you stay in your state and actually do your job?! I hope they took a vacation day for that! I couldn’t understand why until someone mentioned they are there to kiss the ring in hopes of a VP nomination or future cabinet position.

Because it was transactional from the start, and it would be way harder, and more work/drama for her to leave. She gets everything she wants right now at no further cost to her. She has more than enough resources/power to leave if she wanted to. I mean, she literally wore it on her shirt "I really don't care, do you?" 

I think a lot of women want to put words in her mouth, or *hope* she wants to leave him, (I used to be one of them) because we can't fathom staying with such a vile person, but I don't think she does. She's just as awful as he is. She got what she wanted, and truly *does not care* what he does, because she got hers. Leaving now would rock the boat when she obviously sees no incentive to do so.
