So I know we’re all worried about Biden which I get.

But I do want to point out that the new format does make it seem awkward compared to what we are used to.

I.e. immediate stop when the time is up, no audience, etc.

He didn’t let it slide, he absolutely refuted it. I don’t know how else how could have said that it wasn’t true and that Trump was lying. The problem is that Trump’s followers don’t care that he’s lying.

I accidentally caught a bit of the opening on NPR (the question about the economy/inflation) and Biden was talking really fast, and his voice sounded really scratchy, like he was sick.

But other than popping in here to get the highlights, I don't want to watch or listen. There is absolutely nothing Trump can say that will make me vote for him, and I'm not going to torture myself.

He’s gotten a bit stronger as this has gone on, IMO. The real problem, though, is that they are in two different universes. Biden is actually answering questions and trying to be thoughtful. Trump is just being Trump. It’s a lot easier to just spew BS and look confident.

Agree he’s getting a bit better, but he started with lowering the bar a lot.

He didn’t let it slide, he absolutely refuted it. I don’t know how else how could have said that it wasn’t true and that Trump was lying. The problem is that Trump’s followers don’t care that he’s lying.

Trump is spewing a firehose of lies, the moderators are not moderating at all and letting him continue to lie, there's no fact checking, the whole thing is absolutely maddening. Joe is losing track because where does one begin to refute that many lies told in a rambling manner? And yes, he looks old, and yes, his stutter is coming out more and more. This is awful. I think I'm going to have to turn it off.
