I don’t have a link handy, but the NY Times has a list of politicians who have endorsed Harris. It’s lengthy!
John Fetterman’s response was bizarre, shocker.
Edited to delete my comment because it wasn’t on topic or really helpful to anything. I’m glad he supports Harris and I’m glad to see Gisele is going hard for her on IG too.
I just saw this article. This is the now the first election since 1976 that hasn’t had a member of the Bush family, Clinton family or Joe Biden on the ballot in either the VP or President spot.

I went looking for JF's statement and I'm guessing it's been updated. The quote I'm finding is "Proud to support and be all in for the next president, @kamalaharris" and linking her ActBlue page. What was the bizarre response?

I'm seeing multiple news sources with headlines about Trump being the oldest Presidential nominee and focusing on concerns re his health. Facts, love them.
I was super wrong. We are going to fucking win. Buckle up.
Seeing your emotional turnaround is a highlight!!!
It really is all coming together.
I’m still angry at the media and the rich, white men who pushed this. And I was stomping hard for Biden because we need to unite to win. But I am EXCITED to stomp for Harris. And to see the Democrats uniting and coming together around a candidate, particularly the one we need to win, is incredibly uplifting. This energy is also what we need. So with the energy and the cohesion, I really think we have an awesome chance.

I HATE the idea that rich people and corporations have sway over what happens in politics. And I honestly believe that when Biden decided to run, his health looked okay and there was reason to believe he’d be fine. But he’s NOT fine now. And even if he’s more than capable of running the country now (which I firmly believe he is), it has become increasingly clear that this man does not have four (really four and a half) more good years in him to run our country they way it needs to be run. Dropping out was 100000000% the right choice, and I’m thankful to those in his inner circle who helped him see that.

I don’t know anything about political strategy but as just a person who is on TikTok and social media, the script has been flipped. When the debate first happened I thought, with a 24 hour news cycle, it would be forgotten about. But then it wasn’t. Last week the democrats couldn’t dig out of the hole. Everything was negative. And now all of a sudden they have the momentum. I know there are negative articles out there. And polls show her trailing or maybe they aren’t up to date, I’m not sure. But the whole vibe has changed over night. They went from trying to hold on, to completely flipping it. It’s a sight to been seen that’s for sure.
And I’ve said before I live in an extremely red area and my crazy neighbor isn’t private on fb so I went to his page. He posted so excited that Biden dropped out and literally in the comments you could see in real time when it hit all his friends that now it was going to be hard and it would have been easier if Biden stayed in. It was so good to read.

The sheer amount of fundraising money that was being held back by the big $$$$ donors until they had a candidate they wanted is absurd. It makes good headlines for Harris now that it's all released, but sincerely, what the fuck?
And I don't want to take away from the energy of her raising organically the $81.5M through small donations, which is record breaking and earth shattering. But also, where were these people before? Were they going to just let Trump get on with tearing down the last shreds of democracy we have?

They're "voting" with their dollars. They're saying "please take our money so you can win and then figure out a democratic and totally legal way to stop letting octogenarians on the ballot."
I don't care about the big donors. They always figure a way out legally to get what they want regardless of who is in office.

I think a lot of people have wondered whether Biden would ACTUALLY end up being the nominee for almost a month now. I know I stopped giving during that time because I wanted to make sure my money would be going to the actual Democratic nominee.
mrsukyankee, Faux News has "Kamala's Coronation" as one of their headlines also. I don't think that's an insult and instead conjures up a very positive image of Kamala!

A few hours later he did come out with an endorsement, but some reporter found him in a hallway or something soon after Biden’s announcement and he implied that Biden was being forced out and it was ironic/unfortunately Biden is the one basically stepping down instead of Bob Menendez.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”

To me it skews negative and reminds me of 2008 with them using messiah as an insult to Obama. The faux news crowd will interpret to say see? it's the dems who are anti-democracy. They're the ones who stage coups. There's not a single honest bone to be found.

Which is fine by me, because that whole angle backfired in 2008 and ended up making Obama look cooler and more popular, lol

Just saw an old news clip of a school girl asking then President Ford how a woman can get elected President. He predicted a man would get the nom and have a female VP and that the male President would then die making her the first female P. Not exactly happening that way thankfully, but it is happening in a unique way.

I realized that if she wins, Kamala will be the first female Vice President and the first female President! Which obviously could have happened had Biden had any medical issues that incapacitated him, but it is still pretty crazy. I like this way better.
