If it makes you feel better, I own a blazer from Ivanka Trump's clothing line. I bought it pre-MAGA and I actually still like it a lot but I haven't been able to bring myself to wear it in the past 8 years.
I don’t know where else to put this confession. I rarely cook but when I moved into my first apartment a relative gave me a recipe box with family recipes. I was looking for a specific recipe yesterday and found a printed out recipe from 2007? for Mar-a-lago turkey burgers and a little article mentioning he who should not be named. I only made them once, and I think they were decent but not worth the overly complicated effort IMO. I probably heard about them somewhere (maybe the Oprah show)? I tossed the recipe.

In early 2017 I was tickled to find her clothes in the clearance section at tjmaxx.
At the same time I saw trump wins at the clearance end cap at target

I wore Ivanka Trump shoes at my wedding (way before Trump was anything other than a reality show ass). They were a piece of crap that tore up my feet. No wonder I got divorced lol
Usha Vance hasn’t been seen much since the RNC. One of the few public appearances she did with JD was kind of like his weird donut shop stop…except it was a Butcher Shop! Usha is a vegetarian and Hindu, you know a religion where cows are considered sacred, and she’s just standing there while he talks about various cow parts with the butcher and how OF COURSE HE EATS MEAT. It’s giving, she’s not just a regular vegetarian, she’s a cool vegetarian vibes from Vance.
Also, they have a Virginia house in a very liberal neighborhood and one of his neighbors created a TikTok account to post videos showing all the houses that have Harris-Walz signs, rainbow flags, cat lady signs, etc.

My sister lives fairly close to that neighborhood, and apparently the knitters and crocheters have been making rainbow gay pride sweaters for the trees near his house.
Can we talk about Trump’s sentencing? I know we have a couple more weeks until his sentencing date but I have seen a lot of chatter online (not official sources) that the judge can use his Arlington stunt as evidence that he is committing crimes while awaiting sentencing and make his sentence harsher because of it. Does anyone here have any knowledge on this subject and want to weigh in on if it’s true/likely?
I know it’s unlikely that he will get prison time but I’m curious how that will affect the election if he does. Will they find a new candidate? Or keep him and (big IF) he wins just let him play president from a prison cell?

I don’t know anything about the first part, but there’s nothing that says he can’t be president from prison.
What an embarrassment to our country that this is even something that has to be discussed.
Speculation from legal people who know more than me about sentencing is that Trump is not getting jail time.
Fun fact about someone under Secret Service protection and being incarcerated- the Secret Service can transfer jurisdiction to the prison. So, an agent does not need to be in the cell or facility, too.
I agree that it is an embarrassment that being a convicted felon is not disqualifying for the office of the presidency. If not by law then by the voters.

No jail time was what I had head pre-Arlington. I was just curious if anyone thought Arlington would actually effect the sentencing. Have you seen anything recent? I have just seen a lot on SM stating that the judge CAN take into account breaking a federal law even if no charges were filed but I haven’t seen any speculation on if he WILL.

I have at least 6 fellow doctors on my feed who have outright made comments or posted photos that they support TFG.

Their core value is white supremacy.
When are they going to give us an option to agree and not like?!
I won't say it's 100% white supremacy. There's a helluva lot of misogyny, too. Those of course are not mutually exclusive. The venn diagram is close to a circle.
If I thought it was sometimes uncomfortable solo traveling during W years (it actually was mostly in my head, fearing Experience showed the complete opposite), try moving overseas in 2018. Even after these years I cannot get a read on just how much they think we're a fucking joke vs a sincere desire to understand and respecting the model of democracy they might hope for their own countries. Seeing Jan 6 really fucked with our minds as americans, of course, but it also was nonstop talk, still is, outside the borders.
I dare say most are more informed than your average american voter. This has been true in multiple countries with pretty draconian laws that prohibit any political talk. Still, my cab driver is very likely to want to have a fully informed discourse on the middle class in america and why people vote against their own interests. True story.

At least 4 of these doctors are women. One of them helped me out with an issue at my office a few years ago over DMs. I've spoken on the phone to another one once. It's crazy to see these otherwise smart women be clear that they are voting for the felon.
@@@@@ Three of them have kids, each one has at least 1 son. I was thinking about them on my drive home today. They're the kind of white women who would never think they're racist because they're friends with xyz not-white people. Supporting TFG is inherently promoting white supremacy but they don't see it that way.

I don’t think he’ll get jail any time, but often for criminals like that they are very lenient, like they could work their job during the week and report to jail each weekend.
Judge delays hush money sentencing until Nov 26th. Great thanks Judge.
Ugh I’m so disappointed. The judge’s reasoning makes sense but I still don’t like it.
The speculation is that this means he is considering jail time and it’s actually better if it happens after the election. Of course, that also means we need Harris to win.

I personally think there's no way he'll get jail time but I do love this speculation.

It definitely would make things less complicated if it's post-election and he's still a private citizen.
I don't think he'll spend any time in jail, because even if he's given jail time, I think he'll flee the country. He's already hinted at going to Venezuela if he loses.

Fleeing to South America to avoid criminal accountability for your acts during your time in power? Not original and not a good look.

He might as well say he plans on opening a pizzeria in Buenos Aires.
Planes Targeting Trump Fly Over College Football Stadiums, Telling Voters to Sack Project 2025 (Exclusive) The Democratic National Committee stunt on Saturday reached students and football fans at the University of Michigan, University of Wisconsin and Penn State University.
Heather Cox Richardson’s post from last night is a recap of Trump’s completely unhinged ramblings at a rally yesterday and then posts on his sm account. It’s honestly scary. It makes me hopeful that he’s losing votes by the minute but also terrified that he isn’t. We’ve GOT to keep working to win this election!!
