Has anyone gone to a movie with a TW? I don't know if it was something the theater/country (Singapore) required or if it was integrated into the movie. I know that when I watch Australian tv they have more tw than I'm used to with American tv, so I assume it's some sort of regulation, but maybe it's just a cultural and voluntary expectation.
FWIW, the movie was Kinds of Kindness. Probably the weirdest movie I've ever seen. It wasn't particularly triggering, though. I think the tw mentioned suicide and animal cruelty, but I've seen more challenging and graphic depictions of those subjects on network tv. It was even NC 21. Even the sex scenes were mostly just implied, although there was some nudity. Mostly, my brain is just jumbled because it was so fucking weird.
Not to freak you out - but the only times I’ve seen this happen are when mice got the food and stashed it. Are you sure you don’t have rodents? Otherwise, no clue! My dogs eat so fast there’s none to hide.
It reminded me of when we opened a floor up and found a stash of acorns in it.
We had a mouse issue a few years back and, honestly, this could have been related. Maybe I can stop giving my dog the stink eye (yes, I know she has no idea why I'm giving her the stink eye, but I'm sure she still deserves it for something else).
I have had this happen before. Sorry to say, you have mice!

I'm pretty sure it was the infestation we had a year ago--we have a pest service and there hasn't been mice activity in a long time. We haven't even used this brand of kibble in months!

It was such a nice weekend.
Friday Night Lights where my son ran for over 2 hundred yards,
Literally did nothing on Saturday followed by baseball Sunday
today I slept in, vacuumed the house, grocery shopped, made breakfast and lunch for my son for the week, made dinner for tomorrow, boiled eggs, did my laundry, washed my son’s football stuff and made my lunch for tomorrow. Now I’m sitting with a cocktail and plan to relax the rest of the night.
Friday night, H and I went out for a quick appetizer and margarita flight at a new-ish bar in walking distance of our house, and then we headed up to our friend's house for a little party in their backyard pavilion. We had drinks and snacks and caught up with friends for a few hours.
Saturday was our town's wine festival. I went to that with friends while H watched the PSU game at a friend's house. Came home afterwards and had some takeout on our porch with friends while DS ran around with neighborhood kids.
Sunday, we were on our boat all day and then went to a fantasy football draft party in the evening. H has been doing this same draft for 22 years, holy shit we're old. I don't participate in the draft but I sat by the pool and hung out and chatted for awhile. It went on forever (4+ hours) and finally H was like "lets just go and someone can finish this draft for me" lol. We were beat.
We were also on the boat all day today. We've met some really fun people out on the lake from different parts of PA and have formed kind of a little community and its been so nice. DS had so much fun playing on a float mat that some other kids had while the adults grilled, drank beers, and jammed out to 90s music. It was a pretty perfect day.
Unfortunately I've had kind of an on-and-off stomachache all weekend? Like, I have a normal appetite and am still hungry and stuff, I just have this uncomfortable, bloated feeling and sort of a burning/churning sensation in my stomach at times. IDK. I assumed it was from all the crap food and drinks but I usually have a pretty iron stomach so this has been annoying. Not enough to ruin the day, but enough that I've just wanted to sit down a lot because I'm feeling unsettled. Also not a great feeling to have on a boat where there are zero bathroom options, ha.

My father-in-law’s funeral service was on Saturday. It was beautiful. And now my son starts kindergarten tomorrow and my baby (she’s 2.5 lol) climbed out of her crib on Saturday morning (as I was getting ready for the funeral, like, GIRL, ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS RN, READ A ROOM, WORK ON YOUR TIMING), so I don’t have diapers or a crib in my house at all anymore for the first time in 6 years, and I have a kindergartener, and my FIL is gone. THAT’S ENOUGH FEELINGS FOR ONE WEEKEND. JESUS CHRIST.

That’s a lot of emotions for a holiday weekend! I hope the next few days are kind to you. Parenting milestones are always hard for me. Take time to process as you need.

I never have seen a movie with a TW on American TV. Was it in on tv in Singapore?

In the theater no but at home on streaming channels, yes.
Lol yes! It was such a good show (I went in DC) but it was quite a lot for us middle aged folks. And his relentless pushing to put your hands up and jump up and down. I don't know how he does it!
And the hey-oooooo. I was so over it by American Idiot. 😂. Then poor Tre looked like he was about to die in the heat. He was struggling during Dookie. That album is so fast paced.
We went Sunday night in Pittsburgh and omg that was an endurance challenge. I’m well past the age for a 5.5 hour concert, and I was gazing longingly at the people sitting comfortably in the suites. IMO eliminating Smashing Pumpkins from the lineup would have solved the problem. They still play well, but they weren’t the right fit in an otherwise fun pop-punk show. We used some of their set to go on our final food, merch, and bathroom runs before Green Day came on.
I fully agree on the arms and the hey-oh. It was far too much! Sir, we are tired and have subsisted on ballpark food for the past 5 hours. But they sounded amazing and it was great to see the two albums performed in their entirety. I thought the Linda Lindas were awesome and so fun, and it was good to see Rancid as I hadn’t seen them back in the day. It was a good idea to have an up and coming band and an older one.
If I had seen them when Dookie came out I would have had floor seats and danced all night, then got up and gone to my mall job the next day without issue. This year, I had to do stretching exercises the next morning, and drink water like I was hung over. lol. Sigh.
MH was scrambling for an excuse and I reminded him that "no" was a complete sentence. MH finally landed on "that won't work for us," which seems to have shut down the conversation for now. It's the right call, but I'm still sad that we don't have a family where we could do that sort of trip.
My dad certainly had envisioned doing fabulous trips like his parents did with their adult children and spouses and eventually a couple times included grandkids.
His first disappointment was when my sister was in grad school and had a surprise pregnancy about a month after the wedding. He was of course happy for her (it unforunately was molar), but he admitted to me he'd hope that once she graduated we'd have a few years to go on vacations with his adult kids and their spouses before children.
That further became impossible when I cut off all contact with his wife. Even before that she disinvited me to my childhood home they were in the process of selling, on an overnight layover returning from a family wedding we all attended. And now my sister's dead. I really do feel sorry for my dad on so many accounts. But I will not be in her presence. She wouldn't even return my "hello" when we were all gathered for my gramma's funeral.
Even if we were on good terms, she now always has some vague ailment. These formerly intrepid world travelers haven't done really anything in a good 15 years which makes me so sad for him. If I weren't so far away I'd definitely try to do a father daughter trip.
