Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus
I have spent a week trying to find a jute rug. I finally pulled the trigger on buying one, and NOW I'm getting inundated with ads for jute rugs that I like more then the one I bought.
I tested positive for Covid almost two weeks ago. I cannot get rid of this dry cough or the fatigue. It's taking everything I have to get through my work day. When will this let up?
I had the insane fatigue for over 4 months and I still can't do as much as I used to (working out as heavily, etc). Sorry and hope that's not what happens to you.
The parking lot at school isn't big enough. If I get there after 7:45, there are no spaces. I am an adult. 10th graders don't NEED to drive to school, and they should park in the far away lot and leave the close lot to the grownups who have to be there.
do the kids not have assigned areas? in 10th grade we had the farthest spots, across the football field. 11th grade had slightly closer and senior year the closest. Teachers had their own lot.

this happened to me last week as well. SO ANNOYING.
litskispeciality and anyone else jumping through healthcare hoops...go to adhdonline.com and you'll have an Rx sent to your pharmacy in less than a week. For weight-loss meds, go to lavenderskyhealth.com to have affordable glp1 meds delivered to your door in less than a week. I'm done dealing with expensive, dismissive, traditional healthcare.
Does adhdonline.com send the actual medication or just transmit a prescription?
IME, getting a prescription sent from DS's psych's office is no problem. They have a woman working full-time who does this-- last 6-weeks she sent 3 different prescriptions out for him to get 10 does in one place, 12 in another and finally 30.

At DD1's school you aren't allowed to drive until Junior year. And they are far away from the school and have to apply for a permit and get an assigned spot. It sucks for the later birthdays bc they run out of spots some years. The teachers get first dibs on the closest lot!
I am annoyed bc I ordered Wallflowers on the fist day of the BBW sale. Hours after I placed my order I got a free ship code which they would not honor. I am usually OK with all of this bc I have a deep understanding of online order management and fulfillment but it's 5 days later and it hasn't even shipped yet. Hogwash! Meanwhile I ordered shorts for DD's birthday from a small business in NC on Monday (with free ship) and it's coming today. Get your shit together BBW!

SIL and her kids are moving back to Louisiana this week because of the craziness that caused us to go to AZ last week. SIL is being ridiculous and crazy and I'd cut her out in a heartbeat if it weren't for her 3 kids. Last night she asked me to keep an eye out for some furniture on marketplace, ok, I can do that. Less than an hour later she's blowing up my phone with 17 messages including screenshots of a conversation between her and her mom about bunkbeds. Her mom starts texting me telling me to contact a lady selling the bunkbeds and she told the seller that FI and I would come look at them. Uhhh what??? All these messages happened while I was doing homework and studying for a midterm. I handed my phone to FI and told him to take care of his sister.

pinkdutchtulips, that is so frustrating!! I'm absolutely for the patient having access to all healthcare records, or one bigger system that somehow is secure. I think a lot of people delay healthcare because of the hassle of moving records and changing providers, and it shouldn't have to be that hard. Hoping you get it squared away ASAP while she's still motivated to go!
followyourarrow uuuugh. Not sure how far you'd have to drive, if you have a truck etc. but really?!? You're just going to pick up this massive furniture when you weren't even consulted. I hope your H was able to lock that down because that's crazy!
I volunteered to create a very very simple online poll to find a group meeting time because no one else will do it and they default to sending 1293787 emails like, "I can't do Thursdays between 4:17 and 8:12 because of Precious's skeeball practice" and not offering any times that they can meet. Cue two people who instead of answering the poll, replied-all with their non-available times. I am going to completely ignore them and schedule based on the poll; why the eff are people so difficult?!
lavenderblue sounds like someone who hasn’t yet figured out the work culture.
We have been making repairs/converting some of the garage into an office. Epoxy just got poured on the floor today which means we can use it on our new move date of Tuesday and the sewer people should be in this week. I hope it holds up!

Ugh this annoys me sooooo much! I’ll have to reschedule a meeting, so I’ll email and ask, “can you meet Tuesday at 9am instead?” They will reply with just “no” or “I’m out that day” umm ok, are you working at all that week? How about when you ARE available?

I got a recall notice on a clothing steamer I bought. The freaking hoops to jump thru to get my refund processed are absurd. They keep requesting more info. I sent them a for me, scathing, response. After I hit send I heard the voice of Grace telling Principal Rooney "Oh Ed, you sounded just like Dirty Harry."

That's ridiculous. I'd push for the school to limit student parking. We're in an urban neighborhood and our high school parking lot only fits about 150 cars (and we have 1600 students). Students aren't allowed to park on the lot. Only staff.

The school drop-off line. If you little precious needs more than 15 seconds to get out of the car, please pull into a parking spot. (This is middle school, so most kids should be able to get out of the car in 15 seconds.)
I get so annoyed when some at work sends me a Teams message, and all it is is, "Hi!" or "Hi, how are you?." Just send me the question you want to ask me!!

Cancelling my dad’s flood insurance is a nightmare that won’t end. I don’t think anyone there has any clue what is going on. Today they sent me a document with the wrong address for the policy (my address instead of the address of the property that was insured) and a digital document to sign where I can’t sign in the correct spot.
I keep wanting to ask if there is an adult working there.
I really feel bad for people who can’t advocate for themselves or understand what these forms are saying and just trust that the professionals know what to do.

We put in an offer on a vacation home. The seller countered, and we accepted. Resigned the agreement on Monday evening. We’ve been waiting ever since for the seller to sign. They called our agent this afternoon and told her they got a higher offer waiving inspection. WE HAD A DEAL. We agreed to their counter offer!!!!! I’m so angry. I want to post this REA’s info all over the place about how shady he is.

oh I would be reporting him to some licensing board or whatever

Not cool
Apparently because it was just verbal they can be assholes?
Getting everyone’s schedules recorded on to my paper calendar is mega annoying right now because it’s back-to-school time. That means every kid organization plus their schools has overloaded me with notifications of all the events and bonus events. And I have to look in like 12 different places to get all of it on to one schedule.
Yesterday I received three things in the mail that are either wrong or require me to follow up by phone. I feel like post-lockdown nothing is working anymore.
Zappos sent me the complete wrong shoe. That took a while to sort out- I didn’t want to somehow get charged for mailing back/returning the wrong thing

"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”

this is beyond ridiculous or annoying, this is rage enducing and would have me in tears! You signed the agreement! UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH, that is FUCKED.

Yesterday I took my dog in for a pre-spay appointment. The vet said I never came back for her boosters so we need to start 2 sets of vaccines all over again. Umm...I've never missed an appointment which means I never had a scheduled follow up. I own that I could have proactively asked if another appointment was needed (months ago when she got the first vaccines) but they've always scheduled the next required appointment right at check out. Now I need to pay an extra $180 to restart vaccines.
The vet wants the vaccines done before the spay, so I have to go back now for 1) the boosters, 2) the pre-spay appointment and bloodwork in order to even schedule the spay. Argggghhh
Also, after waiting 50 minutes in the waiting room, while other dogs and cats went in and out of their exam rooms, and my puppy sitting patiently taking it all in, I let go of her leash once in the exam room. She was initially jumpy and then squirmy during the shots. The vet said "oh you'll need to medicate her to calm her down before she comes in for bloodwork next time." I politely said "yes, she's definitely hyper right now, but we've also been waiting close to an hour while she just sat in one place"

I completely ignore someone until they ask me what they want. I sometimes don't have time for chit chat so just get to the point. Also, it seems that it's always the people that I DON'T want to talk to!

You need a new vet! I wouldn't be trusting that one to spay my baby.

I’d be looking for a new vet.
Fair point. This is my second dog and my first bad experience so I'm going to give them one more shot. It was a new vet at the practice who made the medication comment (same practice, new vet)
ETA - I guess this was 3 strikes all in one. 1) failing to tell me I needed a folllow-up, 2) making us wait 50 min, 3) suggesting medicating a puppy who was made to wait an unacceptable amount of time. Hmmmmm

tommygirl03, huge PITA, but I think looking in to reporting is worth it. Especially if you had something in writing. Regardless it's shady AF and should be reported. I don't care how competitive the market is, realtors always say "don't put in a bid unless you really want the house because if it's accepted it's yours" (pending funding doesn't fall through or other things further down the line). Why is this not the same in your case?
I'm still dealing with doctors trying to get all of my dad's info switched over as he has a few apts that are outside of memory care. I explained several times to one practice that my DH will take my dad to the next upcoming apt if at all possible as it will be 3/4 of a day off for me, for a 20 min apt. The woman kept saying "just have your dad update his stuff at the apt"...but I'm activated as POA. Uuugh. I have a feeling it's going to be a sh!t show for my DH. I haven't even bothered to call dads insurance as I've uploaded docs again, and I'm waiting for insurance to read the letter from my dad's PCP (that I don't even have to upload as well). Honestly it shouldn't be this hard!
@@@@ I'm sure I'm late to this. Schools start pretty "late" in my area, either a week before Labor day, or sometimes the day after Labor Day. Either way things are really just still getting in the swing. I've already had at least 5 friends hustling to sell calendars for various fundraisers. At least those have a much better chance of winning, and/or aren't another thing we'll never use, but enough is enough. I was really happy when one friend actually updated a post "we've hit the minimum number of calendars. Please don't pay me, just wait for the next fundraiser"...because we all know there will be more.
It's also such an equity issue. We have cousins with 3 kids, 2 in Girl Scouts and other things. DH and I try to buy from those kids first, and are often one of the only sales as the extended family just doesn't have the money to support. My parents only let me sell GS cookies door to door, and really only for the minimum, so I get it, but I hate that kids then feel left out for not selling enough/as much as their friends.
