Since a lot of people seem to be annoyed by parking situations, I'm just wondering, where do you park and what are your options?
I have a 2 car garage but don't park in it. It's where our home gym is set up on one half and the other is set up for DS to be able to work on his car. My driveway is three cars wide and 2 cars deep, so we just park there. When exH lived her, he parked his truck in the driveway and his work van in the street, but wouldn't let either of our daughters park in the driveway, it was such a weird flex.
On the curb in front of my house. Our driveway is really tight and you can't fully open the doors. Its easier to park on the curb (and I live in the city, so that's not frowned upon).
I park in my driveway. We have a two car garage but don’t park in - largely because there is too much junk in it. H keeps talking about cleaning it out so he can park in there but so far I haven’t seen any real motivation for him to do it.
We park both cars in our two-car garage. Between growing up with a garage too full of stuff to park in, then living in apartments/townhouses without the option, we did not buy a house with a garage just to NOT actually park in it.
If there's a project we need the space for, we park in the driveway. When we were mid kitchen and bathroom remodels we parked on the street in front of the house to make room for work trucks and dumpsters.
ETA: this is not to say that there's anything wrong with using garages for other purposes, this is just the way the luxury of that extra space is most valuable to me.

In the driveway. The driveway is long and angled on a slope and really hard to pull into the garage. We got the cars in there when were looking at house just to verify cars could fit and they haven't been in since. Very few of my neighbors park in their garage.

We cannot park overnight in the street where we live (incorporated village). We have a two car garage, but it’s detached and located at the back of our property. We use it for storage. Our driveway is probably 100ish feet long to the garage? I park in the front and use the front door, and my husband parks in the back by the back door. When we have extra drivers they’ll probably park up against the garage or in between my husband and me.
We have a garage, but it has H's work bench which he uses almost daily, our bikes, lawn mower, dirt bike, etc. I wouldn't say it's full of junk, but it is not big enough for all of that and an suv. We did briefly have a smaller car that fit OK, but it made the rest of the space really cramped and hard to work in.
I think our friends who use their garage either don't have the need for a work bench/outdoor equipment, or have a garage that was built with additional storage space, beyond the car parking area, in mind.
I have a 1 car garage that I park in during the winter and a 2 car driveway that I use in the warmer months. I have one of the very few driveways in my neighborhood that isn't a single car width. Many of my neighbors park 1 car in the driveway and another in the street. This is fine on the quieter streets, but it leads to dangerous driving on the main throughway. Lots of people swing out around a parked car at speed with little visibility to what's ahead. One of my neighbors added a second driveway last year and I'm surprised more houses haven't done the same. Many lots have space for it and I would guess it's not a very expensive project.

Before kids we both parked in the garage. When they were little I could stay park in the garage but H parked in the driveway. Now the stuff has fully taken over and we both park in the driveway. It doesn’t help that we don’t have a shed so we also have to keep the yard care and snow removal stuff in the garage.

Driveway. Homes here have little storage, so we have the gym and other storage set up in the garage. Luckily we don’t get snow or massive hail so it isn’t an issue.

We both park in the garage. DH's workbench and my gardening bench are both set up in there, but we just move one car out when we need to use them. I would love a third garage space so we could stop having to move a car every time. We do have a shed, which helps keep stuff out of the garage, but there isn’t room for either work bench.
We have a two-car garage and two cars. We have really high ceilings in the garage and are able to use the vertical space and walls for lawn tools, bikes, etc, and we can actually fit both cars in the garage. When we have visitors they park in the driveway directly behind the garage stalls or they park on the street.

2 car garage, 2 cars parked in it.
I will never understand people who fill their garage up with crap, and put their most valuable asset besides their house outside. By "crap" i dont mean thwy are using their space for something else, i mean full of boxes they never unpacked, or random junk, that sort of thing.
We have a sad one car driveway, and a large dirt area to the right that we use for extra parking. Someday we want to expand the driveway and that will give us a large space for cars and our basketball hoop.
A garage would definitely be nice, but we both work from home so only 1 car needs to be cleared off when it snows and the kids have school.

One car in garage, one in driveway. We do have three cars (dd will be driving in Nov) so we sometimes have a car in the street but we try to remember to move it to the driveway overnight. We live in a subdivision, and I personally don’t like the look of cars parked in the street. Most homes have bigger driveways with room to park multiple cars.
In the driveway. We have an old, 1950s garage and we're not actually sure our car (CR-V) will fit in it and still allow someone to get out of the car.
We're not allowed to park on the street overnight and our driveway can only really fit one full sized car so when we have overnight guests we pull as far into the driveway as possible and the second car hangs over the sidewalk. This is a very common situation in our town because most houses are over 100 years old (and therefore have tiny, one-car garages) and the lots are small so the driveways are short.

WE have a two car garage that was build in 1990, so it's a tight fit for some of today's cars and we have the lawn mowers, tool bench, and storage taking up space anyway. Instead, I tend to park in the driveway right in front of the garage, except when SD is home from college, then we have her park there. Two cars can fit side by side, but it's tight and unnecessary since we have a second dirt driveway on the other side of the house that can easily fit 6 cars and still leave room for people to easily maneuver their cars out...it's basically a small parking lot. Parking at our house will never be an issue for us or anyone visiting. Lol!

we do this as well. Bikes are hanging when not in use. Tons of hanging from the walls and built in shelves along the walls. Then we have rafters above where we keep seasonal items (skis and sleds in the summer, water toys/tubes in the winter).

We have an old detached garage that can barely fit my hatchback (although DD did park there last spring during Senior Assassin but someone had to guide her in). We have a driveway that tightly fits two cars which currently has DH's brother's Jeep sitting in it (DH's brother passed away a few years ago).
So, I almost always park on the street in front of our house (which is closer to the front door). H alternates between street parking and squeezing into the second spot in our driveway. We too live in a city so we can park overnight on the street (max of 72 hours) and there tends to be ample street parking (except on Friday and Saturday nights when the restaurants up the street are busy).
It depends on the time of year. We have a two car garage, but my husband's truck is too long that it doesn't fit in the garage with the shelving we have in there. The garage is also his "man cave" area, so we really have one available parking space.
During the winter, I park in the one parking space in the garage and H parks in the driveway. During the rest of the year, we both park outside in the driveway because there is usually kid stuff everywhere in the garage (bikes, scooters, hover boards, etc).
We have curb parking on our street, but overnight parking is prohibited in the winter for plowing. Even if we park on the street during the day, H always pulls the vehicles into the driveway before we go in for the night.

My parents are divorced and when I lived with my dad as a teen and had a car, he would never let me park it in the driveway. Luckily I lived in a neighborhood so there was plenty of parking in front of my house, but it was still weird. I think it was because my mom bought me the car and he was threatened by that in some way. Weird.
We have 2 car garage but usually both of us are in driveway. No car are allowed in street overnight. If we go away or have company, we will park in garage.
No garage. We have a single driveway that will fit 2 cars. Depending on who gets home first sometimes one of us parks on the street, based on who's leaving earliest the next day.
But our street is very narrow and my car has already been hit once, so we pull way up onto the sidewalk.
H is usually first to leave and last to get home, though.
Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus
